How is the alpha on belts turboed
over 1000 miles per belt
I have rode snow machines(snowmobiles) for 30 years, what you young guys can do on sleds of today is out right incredible. In my day you could not even think about ridding up and down hillsides like that. I love the video's.
We could think of riding up and down the mountains like they are now and a few did.
Most did not because modifying a sled to be able to do it was extremely expensive, and most did not have that kind of money. People today think the snowmobiles are very expensive but if they compare the economy and the quality and capabilities of the modern sleds, they are comparatively less.
And they are awesome!
I love the videos and would love to ride in the places I see in them. It is my goal to ride the powder!
@@robertanthony9674 sleds used to make 30-50 horsepower . These sleds are pushing 220hp + , 2 inch paddle tracks longer skids . But yeah they can sure ride the heck out of them

I've been riding on and off since i was 8 years old. 38 now. Crazy how these guys make it look effortless. I've never gotten a chance to ride anywhere but northern mn. These are some lucky dudes!
Hill climb at 12:00 looks like the axys had a tough time here? True or no...The cat and doo just ripped up no problem. Now after your season on these machines rank them from best to worst overall if you dont mind...i really have my eye on an alpha but im on an axys thats tested good under me. Thanks and its just your opinion im asking.

Luke Read Replying to your comment im the rider in the pinkish coat. i spent at least 1000 miles on each last year both boosted and not. Thats kinda a hard question to answer in a way because it all depends on snow conditions and terrain. They are all amazing sleds but at the end of the day for my riding style and 90% of the snow conditions i like the new polaris 850 the most.

Fun watch muted. Just my opinion, I watch snowmobile videos separate from my music videos 🙄 do raw edit as a companion. I would prefer that over repetitive loop background.

Out of curiosity, how long do these boosted 2-strokes last between rebuilds? And how extensive are these rebuilds?
Around 2000 miles
Rebuild's are straight forward mostly just new rings and checking the cylinder's for damage and "roundness" lol my word...lol...regular rebuilds are the key...if you wait too long it can get expensive when a ring breaks and takes out the cylinder wall or a crank failure but I've never had a welded crank separate......from Wyoming USA 🔫🤠

I swear I'm not trying to be an asshole or stir the pot, but have you guys noticed a drop in Cat's well-documented reliability since they merged with Yamaha? I was watching a video earlier today and a weld broke on a non-alpha skid, leaving the rear suspension resting on the bump stops. I know that 1 video doesn't mean they have a defective product - or even 10 videos - but I'm curious if the Yamaha merge has been somewhat damaging to the beloved Arctic Cat name?
