Reminder, only the ascendancies ultimately matter when it comes to class. Any class can use any weapon and skill combination in the game. You can make a warrior that summons skeletons, you can be a sorceress with a giant mace. These class/weapon/skill combos are just guidelines for new players, you can ignore them entirely if you wish.
@@hakeemhasan2045 You can make a barbarian with a crossbow that summons skeletons and throws fireballs. Its only a question on how effective its gonna be. But it wouldnt be the craziest build i've seen work in PoE.
fyi, Merc plays very different to other classes with how Crossbows work. You don’t have ammo skills on demand, you have to load them with mana, then swap to them to shoot them with left click, then reload them when your bolt ‘magazine’ runs dry.
I didn't quite understand the fascination about the chronomancer. The "stop time" skill looks like an arcane frost-nova (is frozen in place that different?) and while teleporting back to a prior position is great in Overwatch (Tracer) to do hit & run, I really don't see how I want to go backwards in an ARPG all that much 🤔 I'm sure there is a lot more to the class than this (which might make it the coolest class), but the points shown in the video were not that impressive imho
Just for a quick heads up for what is to come and a bit of a primer. Each “class” starts in specific regions of the passive skill tree at the north position we have the pure intelligence “casters which are both available in EA the witch and the sorcerous. At the north east is the DEX/INT classes, in EA that is the monk and they will eventually add the shadow. At the East of the tree is pure DEX and that is the Ranger and eventually Huntress. To the south is the DEX/STR which will eventually be Duelist and in EA the Mercenary. To the west is the pure STR classes EA warrior and eventually marauder and then at the north west will be the STR/INT classes of Druid and Templar which oddly there is not a single option for that style of class in EA
@ hard to say. I imagine the last to be added to EA will be the existing classes in POE 1 that aren’t there (Marauder, Templar, Duelist and Shadow) so we should be seeing the Druid and Huntress before them. As for “soon” that’s hard to say.
My only concern with witch is during bosses since eventually you will only have the minions that come back automatically, the others will die on the first swing. Some bosses have minor enemies you can ressurect but others do not. She doesn't seem to have a ton of attack spells.
this video is excellent for new PoE players. It gives a good idea of what to expect without scaring people away with the complexity of the skills/passive tree system. Good job!
Having an active block on shields (bear in mind any class can use any weapon and armor as long as they have the ability score to do so) is a game changer for us POE1 vets

This is path of exile, so im going to make a character that doesnt do anything that they've teased for each 'class'. Definitely going to do melee mercenary witchhunter. The node that gives you 20 extra weapon switch skillpoints is going to be so fun to mess around with, the possibilities are insane. The culling strike and first hit doing a chunk of damage is going to make him an incredible bosskiller as well.
Two questions for those who known... 1. For the witch can I do a blood mage build without minions? Like i would like to do a pure blood mage build, but if im not like holding myself back by not using minions that's a no go for me. 2. for the Monk can I do a fire elemental build? I saw online that unarm monk skills are not ready yet for EA :(, but can i mix or just do fire damage as a monk? I see lighting and ice damage but not fire.
You probably want at least a couple minions just to distract enemies, if you don’y need the small amount of spirit for something else. But yes you can ignore all minion skills if you want, she has bone/blood skills to deal damage.
Thought about the same thing, I'd really like to be a pure spellcaster demon with no or almost no minion skills. Goblin Inc. made a deep dive video on Witch and he mentioned that the devs said that Witch can be a pure spellcaster, we just don't know yet how that would look like gameplay wise exactly.

If u play witch and summon a dead foe, do you lose it on death or does it stay in your arsenal permanently? I played it in POE and it was clunky with the animate guardian or whatever it was called and you would lose it for various reasons and had to farm again.
Skills are not locked to each class so you can play a summoner with any class for example. The only thing that matters in each class is the starting point and the ascendancy nodes. For example the gemling legionnaire may end up being good as a summoner because of the 3 extra skill gems.

Going to try out Invoker Monk 1st. Loved the Monk in D3 (and in tabletop rpg games). Just a little nervous as I usually play super tanky builds in PoE1 and never liked the shadow, but at least we have a lot more maneuverability this time.
Having skills on Q-E-R-T-F seems like it limits your simultaneous movement and skill use...Like strafing left and using Q or right and using the other keys. What am I missing?
Everytime someone has asked me "if you could have a superpower what would it be?" I've answered time control. Now an ARPG that already looked like it was gunna decimate my diablo adventures into dust just dropped a time control sorcerer? The one class I loved in D4 but that was never up to par besides a single season? Take my money.
Guys , I have a question. I’ve never played Poe or Diablo before so I don’t know how online works but I play many mmo like lost ark ,bdo. My question is how multiplayer works in this game . Will I be able to see players in the world like mmo or we need to create a party or smth like monster hunter?

But they're not going to be available until launch ? Either way, thank you for the video At least I have an idea what all my options are now.
Ok I am new to POE, and really poe or diablo like games. I saw minions, and they looked cool. Problem is, my buddy who played a TON of poe 1 said they were nerfed, and not viable end game anymore. However, he said the looked better in Poe 2. Do you think minions will be good in Poe 2?
I will try fire sorceress as my first character with firestorms and all fire spells beeing able to Shock it will be a really nice glass canon clear speed build :D

I’ve never played PoE at all, but knew I was going to get into PoE 2. I’m a fan of the nature and gameplay of Diablo 4, even if the story and everything is a miss for me. The first class is already sold for me. The term “sanguimancy” is so badass and I’ve always mained sorcerer, so I have to stay true to my roots. Also, does anyone have any tips for a total beginner at PoE? Mostly trying to go in blind but a little guidance as far as build crafting will never hurt. Edit: Upon seeing that there is an actual sorcerer.. shit
It was between Monk and Witch but I forgot that the Witch lets me summon enemies I have killed so I get to have the power fantasy of Solo Leveling in a way so I'm playing witch first xD.
Going merc for sure, they didnt say you cant change ascendancies so I might swap to a legionnaire late game if someone discovers some crazy build. I love fps games and Im new to arpg so merc witchhunter seems like a great choice, but early game I will try to make my own glass cannon boss killer while trying to balance maximize my room clears and maybe I can use granades for stacking debuffs or something , that would be sick

Monk: I straight up wanted a monk in D4. I loved my monk in D3, so I am glad I am playing POE2. I have never played POE1, so I am going in blind.
This video made the choice even harder since almost all of them look so bad ass
Thank you for this. Very useful! And nicely executed video.
I'm playing sorcerer time manipulation! I have decided! This is the way!
from what I see the fist in my ass is the way...
@@Crazymrpipz and you'll never see it coming with the time manipulation
Monk looks like a lot of fun!
sure does!
How is the DPS on that shield warrior? Did you fight the bosses all day to defeat them?
i think merc, sorcer or monk will be my go to in that order
I'll be playing them all. Thumbs up.
ma maaaaaaaan
Monk Gang! But not gonna lie they all look fire 🥵
I'll start with the Merc THEN The Ranger😆 Are Golems in PoE 2 as well or were they removed?
Are you playing on controller or mouse and keyboard?
Do you have any suggestion for key mapping for controller?
I will most likely make a video about the controller settings when the game drops!
okay.. all class looks cool. but its my first time playing POE and im an console player.
which class is the easiest to play on ps5 controllers?
Anyone else feel like a kid in a sweetshop ? It's like which one do I try first 😂😂
that would be me :D:D:D:D
Guys , I have a question. I’ve never played Poe or Diablo before so I don’t know how online works but I play many mmo like lost ark ,bdo. My question is how multiplayer works in this game . Will I be able to see players in the world like mmo or we need to create a party or smth like monster hunter?
Most people play single player. You can join a friends game and play co-op, the game just doesn't have a lot of reason to play this way.
Ok I'm going to say the same thing I said about d4 Where's the paladin ? 😢
I didn't get a chance to see for sure, but didn't they say they're supposed to be 2 other classes? But they're not going to be available until launch ?
Either way, thank you for the video At least I have an idea what all my options are now.
Have known since learning about the game I was gonna main witch.
Ok I am new to POE, and really poe or diablo like games. I saw minions, and they looked cool. Problem is, my buddy who played a TON of poe 1 said they were nerfed, and not viable end game anymore. However, he said the looked better in Poe 2. Do you think minions will be good in Poe 2?
this is a completely new game, I think they will be amazing
Do we know how easy it will be to change builds within the class?
the passive skill tree can be reset easily with some gold, ascensions u cant change atm in early access
@ ahhh understood, I’m stuck between Witch and Sorc!!!!!
I want to cook up a spicy greatsword build thats kinda mobile… should i go warrior or monk? Any advice ? 😂
Which class is possibly the best for HARDCORE mode?
would say witch or warrior
@@jkole1543chronomancer could be really good too
@@williambisson8632 squishy through.
I wonder what is best to pick if i want to play a fire mage , seems like Witch is a better choice compared to Mage
both are amazing I think! fo rme though its witch!
I will try fire sorceress as my first character with firestorms and all fire spells beeing able to Shock it will be a really nice glass canon clear speed build :D
Monk for me solely because he looks like an Airbender
So for example can i play as warrior but with swords and its gonna be usefull or i can but its gonna sucks to his "main" weapons like hammers etc ?
If I go hellhound witch will i have to play around minions? Id like to play more about just big fire aoes and the transformation.
I think I will do Ranger, I have always loved bow builds in PoE 1 and the bow lightning skills look so good
it does look really good :D
Which one is the spin to win class and what skill? I'm having cyclone withdrawal atm.
What is this build 6:28 man so damn good.
+1
Me waiting for the warrior to be talked about more then half way through the video 😂
Im looking for a warrior that built to lift rocks and smash them with its pure strength. I think the titan one would fit me nicely
I want to run around fast while my pets are killing everything. Think Inna's Monk from D3.
Any class/build like that?
I’ve never played PoE at all, but knew I was going to get into PoE 2. I’m a fan of the nature and gameplay of Diablo 4, even if the story and everything is a miss for me. The first class is already sold for me. The term “sanguimancy” is so badass and I’ve always mained sorcerer, so I have to stay true to my roots.
Also, does anyone have any tips for a total beginner at PoE? Mostly trying to go in blind but a little guidance as far as build crafting will never hurt.
Edit: Upon seeing that there is an actual sorcerer.. shit
Hardcore warrior with minions/totem build for my first play through.
They did say you can't change ascendancies, but they did also say "in early access", so maybe one day you will be able to, but for now, no. Better pick wisely! :D
@@Lonadar1340 Nice, thanks for that. I watched some video saying that "ggg didn't say anything regarding being unable to change ascendancies". Quite a lot of misinformation videos coming now farming the views
I’m confused about they access keys in the support packs. If I buy the 30 dollar pack, it comes with a key. Can I then give that key to a friend so we can both play? Or do I have to keep that key in order to play. What I want to know which pack do I have to buy so that myself and a friend can play together couch co-op
thats ur key that comes with the 30 usd
My understanding is that a friend can play locally with you, but would need own key otherwise
Have your friend buy the $30 pack for themselves, or buy the second one for them.
