Wow. 1st one I've seen since the 4-dr '60 Polara that got (seemingly) abandoned in our town a few years ago. A very rare thing in the UK. It had the glittery steering wheel, but was a burgundy red. The owner would not sell 1BPO so she sat for a few more years of rain and eventually got taken ?? -to a scrapper most likely..Very nice n nostalgic for me to get another good nosey around one too mate. So THANK YOU = ) and Cheers.

In our family we had a 60 or '61 Polara with the big engine cross ram but it had the short cross runners. So it took to like 40 or 45 before the power really started to come on. Read riding car with wild styling...the dealer later installed early tube headers. The steering wheel had an inset saying that you had ordered the car with power steering. The dash as you can see was very sci-fi

Sounds like a amazing family car. If you ever get another, PLEASE upgrade your brakes first with a good aftermarket kit to convert the front to disc. The late 50s through 60s Mopars are terrific performers when tuned right, but the brakes are known to be lousy.

Where did you purchase vacum advance? I have my Fathers 1960 Polara Station Wagon all original with 48,000 original miles everything works great except vacum

We chased all over the internet and had to cross reference part numbers. It got pretty wild, but our friend who is our commercial manager at our local autozone knew a guy who has a huge cache on NOS replacement parts, and sure as shit, he had one!
