I've been listening to country rap including Apalachee Don about 4 years ago. All I listen to is older country(Willie, Hank, Johnny, Merle, Conway, and the others) country rap, some modern country, and older rap from the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s.. I was born is the city of Hagerstown and grew up in Baltimore but my family comes from southern Va. and northern Pa. I never really knew who I was until 2015 when I moved out west to Torrington Wy. Out there I met some really cool people, honest, hard working, blue collar Americans who reminded me of the elders in my family who came from the mountains of northern Pa. and southern Va. to make a better life for the future generations(didn't really go as they hoped). Wyoming and country music helped me find who I am and country rap is a mix of who I am and the music i grew up on(rap that meant something and told a story of their lives and the hardship they endured)
