And Faye Wong definitely well deserve this title .

You should check out her version, it's also very good. She is referred to as a diva because of her status as the queen of pop music during her time.

I watched Zhou Shen so often that I learned to recognize the pinyin characters for his name. The following artist suggestion, by no means, takes away anything from Zhou Shen, but please, check out Dimash Kudaibergen who sings in twelve languages including Chinese. Well Diva isn’t a correct translation. I think a more appropriate translation should be “Heavenly Queen”. It’s similar to “”the Queen of pop” or something.
I disagree if you take into context that very popular songstress in western music are also called Diva, in the same bracket as Maria Carey, Whitney Houston, Barbra Streisand, the same way Faye Wong is regarded as one in the mandopop scene.

Calling a female singer "天后" was a trendy thing back in Hong Kong around Year 1992. For guys is "天王". And there were “四大天王” but if I'm not mistaken there wasn't a distinctive “四大天后" but there are other "天后". Mainly a title like that was given to a singer that gives out positive energy, voice have 感染力 and is all charismatic person. After that era of singer. There Chinese singers thereafter are not readily given that title anymore...
