I like how they included Lu Bu shooting at his halberd at the 3:50 scene. I hope they start including more of the intricate aspects of the history behind this game.
Well despite not much info about Lu Bu's Daughter historically it was always depicted that Lu Bu did care about his daughter despite his attempts to use her for political needs. In the novels, she would often try to prove herself to her Father about her military skills but Lu Bu would always refuse and tell her to live a more normal life separate from his path.
i dont like that he died tho, i mean its accurate but dynasty warrior 6 made him a freaking legend , his acts of war were so strong to a point theres no more wars left.

If you read the history it says that he was not the best person, betrayed two people, first his stepfather Ding Yuan then Dong Zhuo. Well he could be a better guy but being the most powerful man in your country well thats a lot,he just thought "i can do whatever i like"
Sigh... Only if Lu Bu and Cao Cao were allies instead of enemies, history would not be as it is in the game or in real life. Actually, Cao Cao was about to take Lu Bu to his side. But Liu Bei reminded Cao Cao about Dong Zhuo and Ding Yuan. So, Cao Cao killed lu bu because of Liu Bei's reminder

To be honest, if the games kept going through the actual history or novel many times, it would get pretty boring since it'll get very repetitive in my opinion, and the plot of the series is already repetitive as it is due to being based off of it, of course. So I just take what different games give us. Different depiction of how it went, different depictions of the characters, etc... I don't really see the problem here. I still found Chen Gong, nonetheless, a great character in here despite how he was depicted. Just because you base something off of something else doesn't necessarily mean you have to get the elements or traits completely right or exact. Dynasty Warriors never really did in the first place and I just don't see that changing. For example, I remember in an older Dynasty Warriors game that Diaochan was depicted as a lot more conniving than how she is presumed recently, to the point of leading to Dong Zhuo *and* Lu Bu's death. So Chen Gong, for example, might be depicted as completely loyal to Lu Bu in another game than how he is depicted here. You never know.
Beth Masey Other way around, actually. The games are boring because they over-simplify the story. Koei only picked out all the big battles and didn't even bother explaining the planning and strategies that went into them, that were actually interesting! This took away a lot of opportunities for character development. That's the reason it's getting repetitive. The game's depiction of Chen Gong is just a stereotypical villain and is very forgettable.
Minigun101 I see nothing wrong with simplifying the story. You can't possibly think that they have the very large amount of time and money to include all of that in a game's plot, do you? It's difficult enough for them to make the games how they are now, despite how lazy it may seem these days. Also, you say that the depiction of Chen Gong is just a stereotypical villain and is forgettable, yet I'm pretty sure, if not very sure, that many people would beg to differ. Stereotypical is one thing, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they are automatically forgettabl. Examples being Sima Yi being the stereotypical arrogant and strict intellectual leader (and the laugh adds to that), Wang Yuanji being the stereotypical calm and reserved woman who rarely shows much emotion, and Lu Bu being the stereotypical believer of "might = answers almost all (if not all) problems". Despite that, these three are some of the most popular and well-known characters of the whole franchise. Being innovative when it comes to personality alone really does takes a lot of time, thinking, and research.
Beth Masey I didn't say he was forgettable because he is stereotypical. He just *is* forgettable. The reason I hate them over-simplifying the story is because it's being simplified in a bad way. If they only took away the parts that aren't as important, then I wouldn't mind as much.
Minigun101 Oh, then I apologize. You just find him forgettable is all. lol Nothing I can do about that (not like I could have done much in the first place anyway). You also just dislike the way they are over-simplifying the things in the story is all, which isn't an uncommon complaint with so many things various media base off of. I've heard that kind of complaint with some of the Disney movies such as Aladdin as an example... if that is even a good example. *Anywho*, I would like to know some examples of parts you find important that they didn't really include here so that I can understand your opinion more? I'm sorry if this is asking for too much, but if you ever have the time, then I would like to know some of them out of curiosity. One of the things you've already said is the strategies and planning before the battles they go, but I think that takes too much time and money for them to include.

Next, dynasty warriors 9 Gao Shun and Wei xu, Song xian should be the characters, Gao shun is the brave character loyal Lu Bu army raid enemy's line cao cao army.
Lu bu Fights 100000000000 warriors why you play him. Gets cutted milion times and still he lives.. In cutscene ur being held hostage by 2 soliders who u 1 shot... then Cao Cao kills u by his sword that deals no dmg ... akward
FearRaiser lol
Good thing Cao Cao and Liu Bei died's years later, great!
¿what happened to Diao Chan?
+Trainjorn diao chan must of either been killed off screen or since diao chan is not real this is pretty much what really happened.

سعود خالد اخوه منور not a single clue to whatever you attempted to text came out.
Trainjorn she's around
Trainjorn she's actually not a historical character. well some texts mentions of her as Duong Zhou and Lu bu mistress or something at one point.

I HATE CAO CAO HE KILLED MY FAVORITE CHARACTER!!!!!
no hate Liu Bei he was saved or spared by Lu Bu I forget which one but not long after Cao Cao was going to take Lu Bu into his forces, but Liu Bei demanded for him to be executed, Liu Bei was a snake, he even betrayed his own family at one point, he was not a benevolent as he is made out to be
chip liu bei never even met liu zhang in his life they were VERY, VERY distant relatives. they just happen to have the same surname
Nahh...I think Ma Chao > Lu Bu
AcMilan no
Wait is LuBu actually dead... ;-;
ya he was executed by cao cao after the battle of xia pi according to history :(

I sexually identify as Lubu
In fact, when he faced his upcoming death, he cried like a bi*** and begged Cao Cao for his life
I mean, who wouldnt? The fear of death is something everyone has. No matter how strong or dedicate you are.
Anyone would have if faced with death although it still doesnt change the fact that cao cao is no match for lu bu on the battlefield
you said english!!
Adam Lewis That was an English sub thing I did way back lol
It's helpful but its not as good as having it in English
