It’s fun to see it all coming together! I’m a high school teacher, and there aren’t many HS classroom setups so I wind up watching ones for elementary school! 😂 I’ve been teaching for awhile (and I’m sort of known amongst my students and colleagues for being crazy organized) and I have an organization suggestion. It seems like you have your curriculum spread out all over the room (some in top and bottom cabinets by the sink and some above the cubbies). I know we all think differently, but I think you might find this frustrating over time. Having it all in one central location (for example all in the cabinets above the cubbies) might keep it more organized in the long run and keep you from walking all over the room looking for the materials you need. Similarly, It might be helpful to keep all of your manipulatives in a central spot. Again, that’s just how my organizing brain (and years of experience) see it, but I know that we all work differently! Your classroom is looking great! Good luck in your first year! 👍😄
If you put the goodie bags on the desks in the morning, most of the kiddos will open it before you have a chance to tell them otherwise. If you really don't want them opening them till they get home, I would suggest having the bags out where the kids can see them that way the excitement and curiosity is there, but don't distribute them until the end of the day. Just my thoughts. 😊
Your student center is so satisfying, I love how organized it is! And when my kiddos come back, I am DEF stealing your TALKING strategy and adding the buzzer to the voice levels. Such great ideas! 💗
Your classroom looks great and most importantly, it functions for you and your students! 💜 I can't wait to have kids in my room again after covid and finish my classroom set up videos!
You should with your individual kits with the base ten blocks put a list of what’s in them for the kiddos when they use them, so they have the accountability and ability to check to make sure they put everything back in them based on quantity!
Definitely give the bags at the end. You're asking for trouble (tears, theft, opening early) giving it early before you've established and practiced class procedures.
Love the fact you bought ‘line readers’ in different colours (yellow, red and blue seen in the vlog), super inclusive for kids that have literacy difficulties including dyslexia as each will prefer a certain colour to help filter when reading. 👍🏻
Hi there, I saw my teacher teaching in second grade or fourth grade, but you’re an inspiration to me and I wanted to teach 7 or 9 years olds in classroom. By the way, I’m in junior in high school, and thanks for this video.
Tip for you! I love the drawers you have by your sink. If I were you, I would keep school supplies in there like pencils, pens, highlighters, glue sticks, etc. because you will be so happy to have those things easily accessible. For the ziplock bags, take them out of the boxes so they take up less space! Put all the quart size bags together in a bag or bin and label it. Same with gallon. The boxes take up too much valuable space!! Good luck!
Hey! I have a suggestion for the reading mats (adorable idea by the way). If you laminated them, they might last a little longer and will be more sturdy! (You don’t have to do this but I just thought I’d give an idea!)
Hi, Hope you are having a great day! I love your videos and your enthusiasm. I can tell you will be an awesome teacher. I came from instagram! love your positive energy. This video was perfect to end my day with!
Everything looks great! You might want to move the book bins and things on top of their lockers to the bottom of the locker. It will be easier for them to grab:)
Who says silent reading phones shouldn’t be bought?! They are super useful! I use them with my kiddos. I’m a learning support teacher and I still use them for my fifth graders.
I feel like it’s gonna be a problem with the different animals because kids want to trade until they get the one that I want so maybe you should save this for like next year or when all this is done so that they’re not touching them and treating them not hate love you ❤️
I loved this video and seeing your amazing classroom! I think it is always best to get the majority of the decorating part of the classroom done before the contracted days! I love those circle lights you used for the volume levels. Where did you get those? Also, the teacher you mentioned who used the crate for planning - what is her instagram? I’d love to see how she did that! 😊
I’m not a teacher but I , for some odd reason , always gravitate toward teacher and flight attendant channels, lol. One question, do teachers have to spend their own money on their entire classroom set up or does the school pay for it? I know teachers spend some money on the small stuff. Your classroom is awesome but that’s scary how much money teachers would have to spend out of their own paychecks!
Never knew what teachers had to do before school even start! My son Graduated in 2003 cant remember because he cried the first 3 years! Yes he was the biggest mommy baby any teacher could have! Till this day some of his teachers see him and tease him about it! So now he is a correction officer in a jail! Your room is looking great!

Goodie bags- can you sneak them in their backpacks? My kids would open it all up on the bus. Lol
Hahah you’re so right. I may have to sneak them!

Towards the end of my senior year of college! Around graduation!
Love the organization!!! ❤️
Thanks Kath!!
Who says silent reading phones shouldn’t be bought?! They are super useful! I use them with my kiddos. I’m a learning support teacher and I still use them for my fifth graders.

What are all the different categories you have for your task cards? I want to make some but not sure what all to include.
Money, place value, time, addition, subtraction!
Hi

@missgregoryteach
Thanks so much girl🥰
Came from insta :) I love all your videos! You’re definitely one of my fav teacher tubers!
Awh that means a lot thank you!!
came from IG after already watching the video 😂
Where’d you get your task cards
A bunch of different sellers on TPT! I’d just search task cards for your grade level and see what comes up :)
I’d put the coins from the math kit in ziplocks!
I feel like it’s gonna be a problem with the different animals because kids want to trade until they get the one that I want so maybe you should save this for like next year or when all this is done so that they’re not touching them and treating them not hate love you ❤️

Thanks girl!! The lights are from amazon (search tap lights) and the RUclips channel is @haileyykaitlyn
Miss Campbell's Creators Thank you so much!🥰
I love you
Be very careful with glow sticks if you have any sensory seekers in your classroom...nothing like cleaning glow goo out of my kids mouth.
It will be strictly for home-fun, not allowed at school! 😬

Hey Lauren! Yes unfortunately teachers spend 99% of their own money on setting up their classrooms.
Came from instagram :) love your videos!

Plus he has twin 3 year old boys told him pay backs are tuff!
When diid people quit using the word "open" and start saying "unbox"? Seriously asking not condemning.
I think unboxing is a RUclips term. Sounds more exciting as a title than opening.
