Sandscrapes!!!…in 1968 I played for one year at Maryborough Victoria . It was sandscrapes in those days, they have greens today. It was a good year of golf. I was a 4 marker, had my first hole in one on the 9th. We won the Ballarat A pennant flag and I won the club championship. My second club championship of 7 i eventually won. You want a great country course to play try Millicent golf club South Australia…beautiful country course.
Dart I think you need to visit WA off season and get a game in with Harry T at Geraldton Golf Club. Fabulous course, grass greens so no scraping & I am sure HT will have a cray or two for you to enjoy on the barby. Cheers 🍺🏌️♂️👍 TV ( and two lefties would be good)

The Dart was visiting Ireland, and decided to play a round of golf. So he hired a caddy and golf cart, and hacked his way around 18 holes. Later, over a beer, figuring he might get some more golfing tips... Darty asked the caddy if he would like to play against him the following day, at 8am. The caddy said, "Sure, but l might be half an hour late". So the Dart rolled up the following day at 8am, and there was the caddy, ready and waiting to tee off. He absolutely smashed the Dart over 18 holes... leaving the Dart to exclaim, "I've never seen a left-hander play a round like that in all my life!... Would you like to play me again tomorrow at 8am?" The caddy agreed but once again added, "I might be half an hour late". So the Dart rolled up the next day at 8am, and sure enough, there was the caddy ready to tee off. This time he played right-handed, and still smashed the Dart around the course. Darty was in awe of this Irishman and said, "I've never seen a golfer play both sides of his body, and play either side equally well!... How the hell do you do it?... What's your secret?" The caddy turned to the Dart and replied, "Well... it's not so much a secret as it is, a lucky tradition. I've always been ambidextrous. So when I wake up in the morning, if the wife is sleeping on her right side, I play golf that day right-handed... if she's on her left side, l play left-handed. That always works for me." The Dart looked puzzled for a moment, then said, "But what if you wake up in the morning and find your wife is sleeping on her back?" The caddie winked, then replied, "Well Darty... it's those mornings that I'm always running half an hour late"
Most golfers have 2 scrapes. First scrape is rough side from hole to ball. 2nd scrape, smooth side from ball mark to a couple of feet past hole. Brush motion past the hole so you don't create a barrier.

Jezza you should come and play at Axedale golf club. It is a bit of a drive but it’s a lovely country course with grass greens and tight fairways.
