There is very little difference in acceleration between 428i and 435i, I'm glad I took the 428i, I would trade that minor 0-60 time for much better daily gas mileage.

Go for the 28i, you'll love it. I went out for a drive tonight with my 335i buddies, I can keep up with them no problem, all I got done is K&N drop in filter and catless downpipe, below 120km/h, I accelerate just as quick but I get way better gas mileage for daily to work.

0-60 times are pointless and can be manipulated by gearing. It’s your 0-100mph and 60-120 times you need to be looking at. The 2.0 wouldn’t stand a chance from a rolling start and short ratio gearbox
I put a burger motorsports stage 1 in my 428i xDrive, and off the line I have no problem keeping up with the 335i/435i... It's pretty damn quick for a 4 cylinder.
I've no doubt about that. I used to have a 335xi with Burger Motorsports stage 3 tune (JB4 G5) and Burger Motorsports (BMS) Backend Flash. They make excellent tuning stuff
You have hit only 195 for 435i right? I drive 428i everyday. M4 is much better if I dont get pulled over for doing 250lms/hr regulalrly. With gas prices going high, 428i works out better for daily commute.
I have Down pipe, MPE, looking to get intercooler, Chargepipe, and CAI, I believe with bootmod3 , that is going to be a lot a power added. Maybe close to 80WHP.

For the money and usable performance on street ya. If you track car or if youre a spees freak there is no comaprison. That and if you care about materials,build quality and all that then m4 is no brianer.
The M4 is a great car but tbh M cars are just unreliable as f. They put so much stress onto 6 cylinder engine with high heat outputs where these engines don't last at all. If someone wants a reliable M car they should look for 40 suffix petrol engine cars of BMW.
