Hey Simon, I am a junior developer and I want to create a SaaS, but I don't dare to do it yet, because I don't know what the legal situation is with a SaaS. For example, there are many requirements in the EU and as a solo developer I don't have much capital to use but also spend on legal problems. I would be interested in the legal part of a SaaS and what you have to pay attention to before you launch it. May you could make a video about it👍
@@manwej All kinds of things. The privacy policy, the security of the data, the terms of use and so. Just, what do I need to do before launching a SaaS that I don't get in trouble.
@@konstis779 my advice would be, jsut start and figure it out along the way. once you hav a few customers you can talk to a lawyer about making it airtight. otherwise this sounds like procrastination. I want to start, BUT there is a, b c and d I need to do first. all the best
I think the home page needs a simple, clear explanation of what it does. Yes you have a features overview but I want to know in one or two sentences what problems it solves.
"30% lifetime discount for as long as you keep the subscription" lol. Sorry but that's very conditional and NOT A LIFETIME OFFER. This is what you get from technical people with no marketing acumen. Is the discount worth the pressure I get for making sure I renew my subscription consistently even when I might want to take a break? Why not 30% lifetime discount as a unique benefit for being an early adopter, whether or not I keep the subscription which I don't have to make sure I keep paying for the rest of my life. No hate on you guys and I think you have a wonderful product but it's getting annoying nowadays when startups become predatory or hostile by embedding some dark UX pattern in their retention strategy to keep subscribers paying for a lifetime such as "if you don't renew, you'll lose all your account info, sweat and tears you've dispensed for setting it up while you were paying us until you can't pay us anymore". Among many I can think of are Meetup, Jasperai, SEranking. Why must you put pressure on subscribers to keep paying?
It's hard to say - for this SaaS, I've had other developers do a substantial part. So we've spent more money on this that you would need if you were to build it all from scratch 😊
Love your stuff Simon and was excited to see what this is all about. The "core function" of it didn't really come across in the video. Is it an url shortener? Why would I need that over tiny url or others? There was only a couple of seconds in the vid for that.
Thanks, Tony! This video was a little more meant as a follow-up to my viewers who already know about LinkDrip 😊 But yes, it's a good point! I should have included a part for new viewers that sent them to this video where you can see more about the product: ruclips.net/video/06VUyvmHuoc/видео.html I'll update the pinned comment! Thanks 👌
Simon! Let me be honest bro, at first your videos were about educating people about Saas & Encouraging them to it, you used to give unique ideas and methods to start. But now your videos are mostly the advertisements of your product! I love what you do, so letting you know you are taking a different route as a result people can stop watching you!
Seeing the behind the scenes, being an early customer, and looking at the journey and what you guys are working on, I can highly recommend LinkDrip! Really awesome tool man - well done to you and the team 👏
This video is a part of my Product Update series - it's mainly meant for people who follow our work. They already know what it is 😊 But if you watch the video / visit our website, you'll get the answer there as well.
Hey Simon. In reality impressed with both your videos and how your able to build saas. May i ask... I have an idea with user flows, user story etc done. But i don't know any developers etc. So I'm on my own, trying to figure out how to actually get this developed. I'm even having trouble outlining enough info for a prototype build. As a first build, what path should i take to get this built? E.g tech co founder, pay for development company to do everything etc. Thanks in advance
As someone who knows the basics about web development but by far not enough to build anything, would you recommend getting started with a no-code builder like bubble or wized? Bubble is pretty simple, wized is more complicated but seems extremely capable and as close to actual coding as it gets.
Yes, I would absolutely recommend that. LinkDrip started as a hybrid (No-Code/Code), and especially in the starting phase it makes perfect sense to use as much No Code as you can!
Hi Simon, Why did you launch a product that has so many competitors in the market, like Bitly? The market is already crowded. Is there a specific reason for it?
Because it's generally a much safer way to find product market fit 😁 Check out my other videos here on the channel - I touch on this subject on multiple occasions.
I'm in the process of making a Saas business where users can create awsome ai generated japanese image and video. I literraly discover your page an hour ago and it improve my strategy on making it !! thank you very much😗

Voted 🎉
Setting the regular price higher and giving a larger discount will increase your conversions, "guaranteed".
no idea what it this but I'll have a look how it can help me
What's unique here? There are a lot of shorter links who do the same job.
Don't expect influencers to make a sustainable and useful product.
It is just to quickly earn few bucks
Competition doesn't mean there is no product market fit. In this case, I would argue that the current link shorters lack several useful features
@@tomassarmiento2199 Like what ? Dub was released a few days ago too and it's open source.
What's lacking here is your IQ
@@AnuragVishwaWhat a stupid comment
Woah thats cool, I'm going to actaully try this out as I've never properly used links before!
I think you'll love it when using it for your channels! I use it with RUclips all the time 😁
Hi Simon. How we can contact LikDrip support?
sorry I don"t get what this platform is solving? Can someone enlighten me? and yes I watched the video and visited the site
Wohoo! Congratulations on the launch! 🎉
Thank you, buddy 🤩
I do have the same SaaS i did it about 5 months now and its working well
Nice 😃
I am rooting for you!
Thanks, Pentari 🙌
I like that you never stop aiming hire. Would appreciate if you share how to start a SaaS with zero budget
That's a solid video suggestion! Thanks 😁
I anticipate this

@@manwejyea, it feels like it, but when you have a problem due to the laws, especially in the EU, it can become very expensive.
Hey Simon? Can I invest in your software? How did you price per 1 share?
Unfortunately, we're not seeking investments at this point.
Can i see how much traffic my website has and where it is coming?
You can if the traffic comes through links created with LinkDrip 😁

Basic url shortener. Nothing special
Made entirely with no code tools?
A hybrid, so not entirely with No Code, no.

Keep winning Sir! I am learning and building something small...
That's awesome!
If you just get basic plan as a early user and decide to upgrade down the line will you still get the early user discount?
Yes, I'm sure we can work something out!
Simon is building something HUGE, wow this app is helpful. I can see this being integrated into the marketing world heavily
is there a plan to have an affiliate program for LinkDrip soon?
