- Ok, so I said in the last Lovebites video if anybody posts a comment about what I said my Dad had said about traveling west, I would do a 2nd Lovebites video today. So, this is it, and I am now going to take a nap.
Epic.
Awesome.
Awe inspiring.
Wow.
Original video here: • LOVEBITES A Frozen Ser...
Man whoever picked Frozen Serenade is a genius. I don't think it gets as many youtube reactions, but I'm not sure there's a better song for the around the world showcase at just how amazing this band is.
This Women are awesome.❤❤🤘🤘
Frozen serenade is pure magic mate
Yeah, it really is a magic moment.
ここにも、Lovebitesに魅せられた男が一人いる。おそらく、すべてのCDやDVDを発掘して、Lovebaitesを極めていくのだろう。誰もが同じになる気がするよ。
Haruna's cymbal work is phenomenal. She's a drumming Goddess.
and Miho's bassline is just beautiful.
This is why Lovebites stole my heart and are my Favorite band.. I am 62 so I have heard a lot of bands but these ladies... Just have me in their thrall.
Well Mark, I am year behind you. I picked up on these ladies from their very first MV amd I cannot believe it has been 7 years listening to every note they have produced since then!!
I just can’t get through the fact that this band doesn’t have million of followers. That bugles me so much. Let’s keep spreading the word! Thanks!! 🐺🤘🏻
Didn't think they or anyone could eclipse Swan Song , but they at least equalled it , if not eclipsed it. like Swan Song it takes a couple of listens to truly unpack the enormity of their performance and composition, but OMG . This is insane talent at its very best
Lovebites Amazing metal band , other level of musicians .
No other band could have conceived such a production. Asami is elegance personified. My favourite moment is her slow walk down the stairs.
Now you understand
Now you know why the Wolfpack exists.
These ladies have no peers.
(And that is the perfect Bond song don’t you think?)
Oh, and offend as many people as necessary. Lovebites eclipse every band ever. Fans of every band ever just have to get used to it.
I am glad someone else noticed Asami's slow walk down the stairs because that was for me a singular moment that added to the whole performance, amazing it was!!
@@noelle3551 The little details are very important. We notice these things. We are paying attention. Actually, they have our undivided attention! ☺
Yep! I'll say it. "Drop Dead Sexy".Gotta love that woman.
This band is a real gift for us.
Thanks for doing my suggestion. This is one of my top 3 Lovebites songs out of all of them to date. The first 3 minutes is a nice melancholy slow build up, and you think, OK that's a cool song. But then Miyako jumps on the piano (while 4-5 months pregnant mind you) holding her guitar in her lap and creates this beautiful background. And then the heavens open up, and snow flakes begin to fall while an Angel descends to dance around like a ballerina. Moments later we have Midori on the acoustic guitar, serenading us with a Spanish-like tune that all just flows together so beautifully. After that, we get a drum/piano alternating percussion rhythm, signaling an explosion is about to occur, and then BOOM Midori rips off her most soulful and emotional solo that gives me chills every freaking time. But wait, we aren't done yet. Asami floats down the stairs and then belts out the powerful and melodic ending to the lyrics, quickly followed by this intricate harmonized duet from Midori and Miyako (who has jumped right back onto the guitar). Wow, wow, wow, just wow.
You perfectly described it all! Thanks for this.
Because Electric Pentagram came out in winter, Asami wanted a sad winter ballad. Asami wanted acoustic guitar on the track. Miyako recorded the acoustic guitar, while live, Midori has to play it, because Miyako is busy on piano.
Lyrics: Asami
Music: Asami and Mao
Arrangement: Mao/Lovebites
The piano, the Spanish acoustic guitar, and Asami floating gracefully always, and I mean ALWAYS, give me goosebumps.
The members of Love Bites have been trained since childhood. I like to encourage and make people happy. So no tattoos, no growls, no goddesses or angels. I'm very happy that there are people who honestly respond to lovebites like you 😃 Thank you from Japan.
Miyako was around four months pregnant when this video was recorded and she takes just two seconds from sitting and playing the last note on the piano (with her guitar resting on her baby bump) to standing and playing her guitar. You should really check out the live video of Lovebites' "Epilogue" and "Edge of the World" and "Swan Song" (with the Chopin piano intro).
So, two comments for you. First, think of Asami as the melody. Secondly, if you thought this was mind blowing, then buckle your seatbelt and queue up Lovebites’ live performance of “Swan Song with Chopin Intro” where Miyako takes two technically difficult classical piano pieces and uses them as bookends for a classical based heavy metal feast for the senses. After which you’ll understand why I always say, “behold, the power of Miyako, and Led Zeppelin may have their Stairway to Heaven, but Lovebites have their own Swan Song.” 😊😊😊😊😊
I posted the link for him ]:)
LOVEBITES MASTERCLASS👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
your demeanor in the last couple of minutes of the song is pretty much the same as everyone who sees this. that dumbfounded look asking yourself just how much perfection is possible from this band. there has never been anything like LOVEBITES imo. truly addictive
Yep. Stupefyingly good. Can not but to love them
Well, it seems you’ve been severely lovebitten , too. I really appreciate all of your reactions to amazing Lovebites in a short time. Some people say that they’re redefining metal or that they are breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene. Others say that they’re angels who came to planet Earth in order to save metal. These women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile exceptional musicians. I discovered this band a little more than three years ago and I’m still in awe. Yes, Miyako is a concert level classical pianist. As real musicians, their versatility and creativity is outstanding. My next recommendations are “Thunder vengeance”, “Raise some hell”, “When destinies align”, “Scream for me”, “Glory to the world”, “Edge of the world”, “Empty daydream”.
This is one of their mega masterpieces and my favorit song of Ladies 😎
What you just watched was the best heavy metal band in the world
This is why many of us are hoping and waiting for the ladies to come to America, it will be the concert of the century, well at least for it will be. No offense taken they do put on an amazing show.
They will. It's only a matter of time.
Miyako said on youtube chanel that she was eager to play around the world.
You touched on part of the magic of Asami. She sings almost as though it's opera, over that bedrock of metal. How many true masterpieces are there in the history of rock? A dozen? I would name “A Day in the Life” by the Beatles; “The End” by the Doors; “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen; “Kashmir” by Led Zeppelin; “Layla” by Derek and the Dominoes; "The Great Gig in the Sky" by Pink Floyd; “Starless” by King Crimson; “Ghost Love Score” by Nightwish… maybe a few more. Few rock groups have ever produced a masterpiece, and some of the greatest never managed it. Lovebites have given us several, and I would put this performance at the top of the list.
1996... Symphony X "The Divine Wings of Tragedy". It clocks-in at 20 minutes and 41 seconds. It opens with layered choir vocals. ( They were on a Japanese label back then: Zero Corporation ) Romeo draws inspiration from the composer Gustav Holst on this one. The Planets: Mars. ruclips.net/video/zFZFB0-VTrU/видео.html
@@TheCyberMantis So I have been listening to some Symphony X--entirely due to your having pointed them out many times in the comments. I like what I've heard--the compositions are epic, the arrangements interesting. I don't know how old you are, but they remind me quite a bit of some 70's and 80's progressive rock, just heavier and more metal. ELP, Genesis, Rick Wakeman, Yes. The only thing I'm not sold on is Russell Allen's voice. But thanks for suggesting them and persisting! I've only listened to some early stuff--let me know which of their most recent albums you most recommend, if any. Thanks!
@@hiawatha.g I'm glad you are checking them out. Your comparisons are spot-on. The keyboard player, Michael Pinella, is certainly influenced by those bands you mentioned. Romeo too, I suspect. Russ has power and soul in his voice. A good range, too. At times he reminds me of Ronnie James Dio. I highly recommend you listen to the "V" album all the way through from start to finish. It is a brilliant musical journey that will showcase what Symphony X can do. It's a perfect blend of heavy and melodic. It's my favorite Symphony X album.
There are good bands, there are great bands.... and then there's LOVEBITES.
In a class of their own. They made me love music again. Enjoy your journey down the Lovebites rabbit hole.
It's a deep hole. And there's not a bad song in their catalog. May I suggest "Winds of Transylvania" the studio version and then the live version.
Thanks for this reaction! Yes, this is one of the most amazing performances I've ever seen from a band in a stage. And it's because these sort of magical moments that I love Lovebites... forever!
The solo of midori after the slow part always give me goosebumps
great reaction. you begin to realize, that it is no hype, when the wolfpack says, they are the best.
Your reaction says it all. I think you have just caught a glimpse of how truly talented these ladies are. More to come. And you hit the nail on the head with Asami, the vocalist. Her magic and gift are being able to powerfully soar above the really fast-paced and heavy riffs/licks of Lovebites' music to make the tracks sound melodic.
Não ofendeu de forma alguma. Realmente é a maior performance de uma banda de metal que eu também já vi. A masterpiece. Fenomenal.
Asami as a R&B singer at heart, doesn't need any🤣 hints
You'll be happy to know that the greatness doesn't end at this song. There's more, my friend !! 😮😉😏❤️🎙🎸🎹🥁😎🤘 One masterpiece deserves another, try " Chopin Intro + Swan Song, " live from Zepp DiverCity, Tokyo 2020.
You are correct, those looooong vocal lines over those measures are incredibly difficult to do right.
I've said it before, this performance will be looked back on in years to come with reverence, as something that will be hard to match.
It's exactly in these moments that you notice how high the demands are on Lovebites, and how things are perceived as "normal". I don't want to put other bands down, but you just have to admit that Lovebites is currently the best heavy metal band in the world (it's just my preference because they meet my taste exactly), and I'm not interested in male/female, I only apply the technical musical standard, they worked hard, the rest is more of a brutally unfair bonus! who should fool them "live"? they tend to wipe up the stage with the others. The band is in the first third of their career, they still see themselves in the technical learning phase!?...You'll never get rid of this band again, they've got you hooked. Have fun searching for a bad song!
Masterpiece🤘🏻🐺🤘🏻
Asami aka The one and only voice, is also looked upon as the Stage General because of her mesmerising Stage presence. As your journey goes on you'll get answers to all your questions, I discovered them about 1 and a half years ago and still learning and being amazed every day by them, I'm well over 50 and thought I'd seen and heard everything and next thing lovebites
This is really Asami's song since she co-wrote it with Mao and she delivers what is arguably her most beautiful and captivating live performance of it in this show. However the other member of the band that really shines here is Midori. If her exquisite acoustic guitar piece were not enough she then proceeds to deliver what is possibly my favourite guitar solo from her. We always think of Miyako as the queen of feels and Midori as simply a speed demon shredder but her guitar on this song wails with tormented grief and tortured melancholy; simply mesmerising.
Agree. This is my favorite Midori solo.
This is the song that demonstrates how each of the M&M have influenced the other. It also shows just how much talent is in this band. Each song shows off an unbelievable amount of gifted talent yet is only a small part of the total talent this band possess. Honestly, M&M should stand for Metal Monopoly when we talk about LB and their talent.
if i saw that live as well,
that would be my 1st and most Elegant metal concert ever. straight up Fire
The way you were just allowing the music to be what it is, accepting, enjoying with just a trace of awe and reverence is what my face is like when I watch them. Lovebites forever. 👹🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺💯💓
Hi man, glad to see you loving these ladies so bad as I do. I' ve never been a power metal guy and now they are THE BAND for me. And this is THE SONG. Congrats to you to discover them, almost all of their songs are something else, i dare you to try "Rising", "Above the black sea", "The final collision" and "Winds of Transylvania", you're gonna love these ones, and "Raise some hell" is a perfect party. Enjoying your channel so much 🤘🏼
Great reaction to Lovebites again!!! 🤘😎🤘 Now I assume, It's Time...Swan......Song.....2020...live....Wolfpack salutes you,but...Please....Asami "The one and only Voice" ...you know...Japan isn't America or Europe or... Arigato Gozaimazu, Yoi shūmatsu o 🤘😎🤘
LOVEBITES - A Frozen Serenade lyrics:
Crystal tears Falling from the skies
Veiling fears The emptiness inside
Time is just passing by
Killing me under the soft twilight
A frozen melody
Of doves and ravens dancing in melancholy
A distant memory
If only this snow could erase the pain
I'd wake up in a serenade
One life ends
And one life begins
Evanesce
To our origins
When I'm lost on my way
Lead my heart and guide me with your grace
A frozen melody
Of doves and ravens dancing in melancholy
A distant memory
If only this snow could erase the pain
I'd wake up in a serenade
Just like a dream, just like a bird
I'll keep on singing out
Even if my voice cannot reach you
Seasons may pass, but its beauty will never fade away
All living things are precious and irreplaceable
Just like a dream, just like a bird
I'll keep on singing out
Even if my voice cannot reach you
White butterflies are fluttering under the silver sky
If only I could wish to see you once more

lyrics: asami

Αnd I'm thinking something....... imagine if you were there and saw it for the first time....Live.....
They really are a great band, so much good music coming out of Japan.
Amazing..... Fantastic...
Thanks for watching
Lovebites masterpiece..
Lovebites..."Class Metal" 'nuff said.
A craftsman and its art creation.. masterpiece Lovebites got a lot songs like this 👍🤘
THANK YOU!
On your "Break the Wall" reaction, you used the word "transcendent" to describe them, and I left a comment that ended with, "Performances like Swan Song (with the Chopin classical piano intro and more) and Frozen Serenade are performances that no other band, metal or otherwise, can duplicate (bold statements, but you'll find out before long)." I rest my case. Your reaction exactly mirrored mine when I first witnessed this spectacle. There are many great and excellent bands of all stripes ... And then, there is LOVEBITES, a band that occupies a category all their own.
Every time I hear this I am drawn to just how beautifully epic this track is… stunning. 🤘 Great reaction - they’re crazy good live! We’re blessed to live in a time with this genius. Given you dig this track try Lovebites “Swan Song w/Chopin intro” live. It’s maybe, better than this one…
If you check out the "Swan Song" with Etude by Frederic Chopin from LOVEBITES..... you will be surprised again.....
Another song from LoveBites that will absolutely blow you away (besides Swan song) is Burden of Time... No spoilers here. Go watch it and then pick your jaw up from the floor.
Asami was a jazz and R&B singer before Lovebites
I’m glad that you enjoyed the song… these ladies always have surprises… best metal bands of today… I also want to recommend a new band for you called Asterism… a three piece metal band from Japan with an incredible talent that I think you will enjoy… I would like to recommend a song called Blaze (Live) from Welcome to INFERNO Vol. MAX…
As you were talking about your dad, I think you maybe should react to Lovebites - "Journey to the Other Side" live. It's a song that their former bassist (and founder) Miho wrote for her late dad who was a paramedic and died much too early. The live version is a very emotional performance.
Thanks! Will check it out.
A demonstration of artistic talent. Not many bands could play at this level of skill. You also have to give credit to the stage engineers and audio technicians, in order for the lady's to keep in sync with each other and the music track.
Regarding Asami's vocals, although unlikely, she may have the vocal track playing in her ear phones. The ability to sing unaccompanied is the mark of a good singer. Due to advances in recording and computers, the ability to sing has become way less important than years ago.
you need more Lovebites 😂
This is the best band on the planet(never mind metal!) 65+ songs everyone is excellent! Lovebites do not write ANY weak songs! They only write masterpieces.
🤘🏼🎸🥁🎤🐺❤️🔥🇯🇵🇮🇹 Lovebites!Lovebites!Lovebites!
It will be interesting if you do a Lovebites song that I haven't heard. I have not heard them all. I'm at about 51 of their 60 songs. I've heard the entire Judgement Day album a few times since the songs were very popular after the release in February 2023.
This is one of the many masterpieces from Lovebites, and this is your first masterpiece from them, there are more don't worry about it.
Dude truly melted!!!🤣
well when you watch Swan song with Chopin Intro I think this will become the 2nd best lol
Haruna on the drums is a machine
If you want have the countercheck of your judgment about this song, watch the Helloween piano cover of "Eagle fly free" by Miyako the brunette guitarist. The 21 of this month, will exit her Ep with 6 piano cover of famous metal songs. Thanks.
This song is just a masterpiece
Nice Reaction‼😁🎵
I feel the same
In my opinion, one of Midori's greatest moments. Sure, she has played greater technical solos, but her transition to the electric from acoustic was, I can't explain....
Thank you for nice reaction.
I recommend studio Live - Scream For Me

We kept trying to tell you. We kept trying to tell you. Lovebites is #1. And now you know. 😉
( Another saying for you: "Two wrongs don't make a right... but three lefts do!" ) 😁
😁
They are the real deal and if the world doesn't catch up soon they may be gone. Get on board world
You can't put the cart before the horse. Lovebites needs to do a world tour. Victor-E must put-up the big money, and get them out there. It will be the best investment they ever make.
@@TheCyberMantis Absolutely agree.
Miho Miho Miho!
No coments. The best metal band right now
Most LB songs are Epic, then there are those that are Masterpieces and you just experienced one. Along with Swan Song with Chopin Etude intro, Empty Daydream or Epilogue they leave you so stunned you can get your brain working for quite awhile. These women never ever disappoint, they are simply incapable of writing, composing and playing a bad or even ordinary tune. LIVE this band is the very definition of Flawless Perfection!!
I have more queued up and ready to hear.
Muy favorite band...and this is the best concert I have seen in my Life.
And Asami....the best singer of metal and the most beautiful woman I have seen on stage.
I fall in LOVE like a little lamb ❤❤❤❤
En mi opinion, esto es una obra maestra musical, ofendiendo o sin ello
Ya aint seen nothin yet with these ladies ;) no need to recommend anything choose any song at random from their catalogue you won't e disappointed dude
Agreed, and it is an absolute shame so few people will ever realize it. I guess it is the fate of asian metal bands. It was the same for bands like "Maximum the Hormone" back in the 2000s when they were obviously one of the greatest bands in the world. I was lucky to catch them twice at the biggest metal festival at them time, Wacken, but man, were they unknown.
🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺
As a fellow ancient relict, I might add, Lovebites should at least be called a metal+ band. They have incorporated so many classical elements. not only like Symphonic Metalthe rythms and melodies, but also the techniques. Miyako often tunes her guitar like a piano and plays it as well like one with this hard tipping. So she can actually take over runs from the piano to the guitar and vice versa. Most prominent in 'Swan song'.
Yeah, about as metal as metal can be.
It's no mistake Miyako was dubbed "The Golden Touch" by her bandmates.
🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
U are thousand percent right 😊
I'd say if you go west long enough you'll end up in the east. Can't go east if you keep going west.
A metaler entrancing...
this is ain't a love song,
this IS heavy metal song.
composes by miyako n asami.
(includes the flamenco.. 😊)
this song dedicates for
the watanabe miyako-san's baby.
😊😊
You ain't seen nothing yet ... Just listen EAST Japan is where it's AT 😏
Its so good its ridiciolous
That's affirmative.
Co co cool
great song, but instead of a verse, Space - Souvenir from Rio plays in my head
Way, WAY too mellow for me. I'll go try another? A Simon Cowell reference? DUDE, c'mon man. RILLY? That's a HUGE loss of RWA points in ALL metal communities. LMFAO!!!
Is it fair to assume you quite liked that one? 😂😂😂😂 It is rather good isn't it?
I did.
I don't think it's a sad love song. I think it's about nuclear winter.
It is a love song as a metaphor for nuclear winter, so in a way it's both. But the winter imagery is pretty powerful.
