Yeah, the STuH is great for taking punishment from those. If you know how to play that tank, it turns into a jumbo. The side skirts I've found block a ton of damage from Sherman 105's and other tanks with HE based projectiles.
Pretty stupid saying your favorite tank is a tank that defies all game mechanics. It can kill a Tiger 2 at 1000km range while the tiger can't do anything against it.

As it is now, there is no point playing any Tiger tank because no matter what you do, unless you get undertiered, you will get wiped out of existence the moment someone spots you. There is no tank like that in the game. There is no heavy tank in the game that can be destroyed as easily as the Tiger 1. Same goes for Tiger 2 in its B.R.

1) APHEBC is better than APCBC, it has better penetration at most angles despite what statcard says (it's incorrect). With 100mm APCBC you won't be able to pen Panther II UFP most of the time, while with APHEBC it will be doable below 500m. And that is despite APHEBC shell having less penetration. 2) HE filler doesn't influence APHE damage as much as you think. Calliber of the shell is way more important factor. For example 75mm shell with 460g of TNT has less damage than 85mm shell with 81g of TNT equivalent. I've said it a few times and it's still ignored by you, based on your videos. Except that, great video from which i can actually learn some intersting things about a vehicle. T44 100 is a really good tank, it's also more stable than average despite not having a stabilizer.
It is pretty much so in reality as well. Spaced armor was first used by Germans to increase protection against anti-tank rifles. Of course, it will activate HE and HESH charges sooner, but against the rest... Forget it. HEAT jet travels through air much farther than through steel, losing almost no penetration. They say that it is rather useful against modern APFSDS, especially if space is as long as the projectile. It supposedly makes it wobble thus losing its energy and trajectory.
Correction, heat shells don't use shaped charge plasma jets to pen. Think of it like a needle that get jammed in the tanks hull because of the explosive. Space does still help but in a different way.
I don't think you mentioned that there's one very common situation where you are attacked with plain HE shells that spaced armor works well against: artillery strikes use 152mm HE shells. Also bombs.

I personally don't like the additions of HEAT-FS and APFSDS at all in the game, made it a lot more boring to me since almost every tank became a block of butter on tracks.
can you talk in one of your videos of how when firing at sloped armor, fire low on it sence its effectiveness is less. The russian 85mm gun cant pen the jumbo uper part of armor but if you shoot its lower part of front armor it can go through, same with the britsh 76 (17 pounder) and the panther.
@@mcchonky5709 The point of angling is to make enemy shells ricochet off of your armor, therefor not penetrating your tank. 1. not all tanks SHOULD be angled: IS-1 & IS-2 have already fairly angled armor, so if you angle your tank you only make it more vulnerable. therefor it's best to just point your nose towards the enemy. 2. not all tanks CAN be angled: light tanks such as the M41A1 walker bulldog have paper thin armor, and cannot deflect enemy shots reliably. 3. some tanks ought to be angled, like the Tiger 1, even the Tiger 2 and American T34 heavy tank series. the higher the angle of your tank, the harder for the enemy shell to penetrate your armor. ideally you need to find the perfect balance between your tanks side armor and frontal armor. Angle your tank too much, and you will expose your side armor. Sometimes (in case of Sherman tanks) you only can angle your sherman very little, thus increasing your frontal protection but endangering your side armor. Hope this helps.
