- Hey guys!
A bit late but happy new year to you all! Last year was probably my weakest year of RUclips ever since start, and if you read the description from my last video you might know why. Hopefully I can change that for 2024.
This was the only song I haven't made a play-through of and it's probably the most requested as well. There is a reason to it also.
When we wrote this song I started to write the drums and I think this track had like 5 different versions (the placment of the chours, verse, etc was built different) and everytime we made a new version of it I learned it (becuase I thought there wouldn't be any more versions. Back then we didn't really had the opportunity to record real drums due to economic reasons and the whole EP ended up with MIDI-drums (which was a tough decision and a bit hard to take in when we had the discussion).
This is the most difficult song we've done up to date and it took over a year before we decided to play it live. During the learning process for live-performances I added my own touch to this track, so some parts are a bit different in this video compare to the original track. Therfore have this video taken so long to be made. But yeah, I really hope you all understand and I hope you'll enjoy this video.

The way you do your ghost notes is so trippy. It looks like you're purposely lifting the stick just before it contacts the drumhead to slow it's velocity and control the volume. I usually just let the weight of the stick fall out of my hand, this strategy seems way harder, but way cooler!
You are right my dude! It’s sure a more tricky way of doing it, however I found to have much more controll of the dynamics while doing it like this. Cool you noticed it!
That intro is very refreshing, having a drums only part to start a song is nice to hear !
And the amount of passion and emotion starting at 3:43…

I will say that I am not the biggest fan of this type of Genre that Allt is kinda in but I will always support them because they got my man Adam on the drums and you bring such cool ideas to drums, really makes it stand out.

Nah not at all, I don’t get to use it that often so it’s understandable!
We’ll, sometimes I don’t and have to play what I get offered at the spot, I always beforehand contact the organizer for a spec list of the gear to be prepared for the worst.. But usually I have my contacts all over the world which could help me out sometimes which i’m really humble about.

Thank you! It’s a big atm movement as you could see, but I follow through the movement with controll, I’m kind of slightly tense in my forearm while being relaxed in my wrist while doing them.

Yo dude! I donwloaded some kick samples from this pack a few years back. Ssed to have some of these both in the studio and live, just make sure to convert it to right format in case you use the TM-2! Cheers!

@@KholmDrums I downloaded the pack but still it still doesn't really sound as nice as yours, do you also do something to the sample? also what kick (i.e. lethal/inferno/sorrow, etc..) did u use for some of the older videos like the signs of the swarm stuff? sounds really well balanced
@@hydrafly1948 Hey! I only used Inferno and Sorrow for my own monitoring back in the days, but for my videos here does my mixguy change the sample out to one of his own ones!
