It's great how much the community has improved these games, and how these open source projects can be implemented into mods. Like gunslinger (which I think this mod uses) makes gunplay super good.
4:30 Maps from the old builds before they were reworked to fit the gameplay better after THQ sent a guy to GSC to get their shit together and finally start make the game and not just do board-sheets about what do they want and polish their glorified tech demo. Plus multiplayer maps added into already existing maps. The Rostok map is for example a multiplayer map and it's not in the Exclusion Zone. It's an old Kyiv factory, what was repurposed for office buildings and the place itself is the same building where GSC had their own studio back in 2003.
reminds of that one stalker mod where naked women appear in the sky. It was a serious contribution to the plot stated by the modder apparently. It was also a sort of deeply serious but also cannot be taken seriously type of mod. Was really bloody difficult though.
Thank you! Just finished Wind of Time you recommended earlier. 2 weeks now in dollchan 8 - it´s a great mod. Had massive framedrops at the beginning while going near Sid´s bunker, but changing cpu affiliation with ProcessLasso and fumbling around in graphic settings made ist running just fine...
In its time, Inception had something very special. I don't know what exactly, but it had something. Unfinished, but an interesting mod to explore. Infinity is on my list, I'm glad to have your opinion on it. I'll definitely play it after I finish Incubator. Have you seen bvcx and Longreed's latest mod for Anomaly? I used to have a weird idea about STALKER and Rozen Maiden crossover fic, yet since my writing skill is rather garbage plus i can't figure out how to make it work i decided to not work on it. Please don't tell me that someone somewhere in the world have the same idea as i did and managed to make it into a game mod because that'd be AWESOME. Now, i just need STALKER x Fate Mod/Fic and i'll be very happy no doubt.
@@MinecraftBlackWolf There's none afaik since both series have practically nothing in common that makes it very hard to blend the setting and actually make it work. But i think STALKERxFSN can work pretty well since both series have a supposed wish granting device that the characters desperately pursues, only for the device turned out to be a monkey's paw.
Great rundown of an awesome mod but it has a tendency to break at a certain point. I got about 25hrs in (seemingly not even halfway through) and started getting guaranteed crashes on level transitions. The mod actually has a built in reset function that did resolve this but at the cost of wiping all your quests besides the main one and all your stashes. I'd strongly advise anyone who wants to give this mod a try to just edit your actor.ltx file in notepad to give yourself massive carry weight so you don't have to rely on stashes, and try to finish quests quickly.
Anyone have an issue trying to stream to discord? Game worked perfectly but I add it as a registered game and it crashes with an "unknown exception check logs for details" when starting a new game and the logs don't even have an error message. I reinstalled and unlisted it from discord and it was okay and ran it from the anomaly engine and didn't even add it as a game I looked in the "share your screen" menu and it started doing the same thing. I then went to the mod manager and when removing anomaly to try a different engine it claimed it couldn't even find anomaly. Upon adding the coc 64bit one and getting the same error the mod manager also claimed it didn't exist.
I'm using shadowplay to record everything, I tried OBS for a while but shadowplay is just more ergonomic. 4K / 60fps / 80Mpbs bitrate (I play in 1080p but these settings in shadowplay give a much better quality). And I up a bit the gamma/brightness in game because RUclips tend to turn everything much darker than it is. That's pretty much it!
dollchan 8 can be played with several engines. which one did you use? this can also be played with the Anomaly engine. I was not satisfied with the grass density, so I used the CoC engine and smacked Absolute Nature for CoC on it! It did improve the grass density a lot without compromising performance.
Oooo now I see, they've included everything in the mods folder xD If you're reading this, good hunting stalker! May the Bubble anomaly be found in the next stash you search!
There's Twilight Zone and there's Slav Zone. We're in the latter... heard it was bit hard mod, never played Call of Chernobyl mod(s) cause they got boring fast, lol. BTW have you tried New Arsenal? Found out if had ENG translation and might check it out. I still hope some day they translate Dead Air Survival or NLC... and AREA project have changed maps too - highly recommend this hardcore project!

Hearing that nobody is a bullet sponge is great news to me, that's the main thing I disliked the most about Gamma; it would take like 5 mag dumps just to wipe out an enemy. One of my friends no longer talks to me because of my opinions on overhauls.
great mod and all, but when are you gonna give invictus another shot? It was a really gripping series, even tho you failed by killing Beard aka "Bird". Also, TELL ME, what is that accent? sounds almost melodic at times
I definitely will give Invictus another shot but when is a whole other question... last time it took me more than a month of intense playing for the run, so it's hard to say. Free time is a luxury these days! But I will for sure at some point!

@@Eladnav1 I actually tried the artifacts to be invisible for Lab x-18, hoping it would work against the poltergeist but no :( And the accent is French, I thought it was obvious, but if it starts getting harder to tell it means my English is getting better yeeeeeee :)
@@CheekiBreekiTv that was my second guess, thanks for the answer. yeah x-18 is always a nightmare, my invictus prep tests showed even if you stack everything for impact resistance you get 8 object hits at most. so prep would be 5-10 sci stimpacks and stacking impact res to make "sure" you dont die. made it 8/10 times, really depends on the poltergeists not hiding/juking you. so RNG in any case basically.

And the thing is, once it crashed, it would crash everytime whatever the save i attempt to use. The only solver was to do what the author of the mod called a "reset". It would work, but only temporary and also it reset all stashes (so I could nt use Stash or my stuff stores would be deleted in the next reset) and delete artifacts if you are in front of them in a anomaly. And the thing is, I got a crash in the Doll Dimension right before catching the artifact and so the reset deleted the artifact and so I was softlock. The last not corrupted save was like 3 hours earlier, so I gave up :(. OP 2 was hard as fuck but fair , I Hope it will be completed One day, or at least the Chess Player Arc will be done and maybe have a proper ending.
Yeah that one is a bit painful, you need to climb on the roof from the back of the building and slowly crouch to the window (the marker is straight where you're supposed to go), when you hit the right spot the cinematic will start (no need to wait or anything)
Damn i never know that i will see mod based for call of charnobyl in 2023. It also remainds me old mod for clear sky called "the fraction war" and you shoud try it. Its a mod thats removes camping but enhance faction war. And this mod is 10x better then warfare mode from anomaly. Its actualy drepressing that no one know about this mod or at least you don't much hear pepol talking about it. :(

The story seems to be good too, but... the economy of the mod. It's rediculous, unrealistic and impossible. It's strange that every mod wants to bring every aspect to reality, but the economy is completely turned upside down. I will sell my gun for 240 and buy it for 19000 ??? The gas mask also costs around 19000 and I guess AK47 for 21000. Why??? The game is pretty hard anyway, which I don't mind, but this??? I can't even buy water yet. This is all wrong. The weapon should cost X amount of money. If I'm selling it, I should sell it for X/2 when I want such a brutal economy. All done.
I know a guy who makes maps for cs 1.6 and he is a good mapper, there is a but. BUT he puts some cringe image of an anime girl or smth like that right in the center of it. This mod reminded me of him. Just don't put it in.. How obsessed are you with anime girls that u feel the need to put it in somewhere completely irrelevant? Just makes ur creation look goofy and childish.

I belive the maps come from the mod AREA, the holodinik edition. It’s a very broken stalker mod, but has very nice maps.

If there's an option to turn off the spiders from the mod, that would be nice.
I'm not sure, but they're not a very common mutant (you'll encounter a pack once or twice in a whole playthrough).

In terms of difficulty, is it at the same level of NS 2016 or OP2.1 (or 2.2) ? Or it's the same shit of the Reborn Trilogy ?
After playing up to lab X27, I'd say it's a lot more forgiving than OP 2 so far.
