- News Corp Columnist Angela Mollard says the loathing for Meghan Markle in the UK is “palpable”.
Ms Mollard joined Sky News Digital Presenter Gabriella Power to discuss the latest news with the royals.
“I was over there last year and everybody I spoke to … they just cannot tolerate her,” Ms Mollard said.
“There is no love for her - I don’t know how you win that PR exercise.
“Newspapers have been speculating on what the PR message should be for Meghan - one of which was I amusedly noted is ‘be less American’.”
Why would anyone in the United Kingdom want anything to do with Meghan Markle??

We were so happy as a nation for Harry, that he had finally found someone and seemed happy....then slowly we started to notice that things were...not quite right about her. The way she would make sure she went first in front of him for everything, the way she would constantly grab at him and steer/pull him where she wanted him to go, the googoo eyes she would make at Prince William when she didn't think anyone was noticing, the lies we started to realise she was telling (re no one helped me, we were married secretly before hand, the royal family are so racist that my children won't be called prince/princess etc), the way she would flip her coat open to be "look at meeeeeee!" when she was fake pregnant and hold the bump like it was going to fall off or something (probably because it was a fake bump)...the list goes on and on. But the last straw I think was when she mocked the Queen with that smirking fake curtsey (which we also knew she lied about "never knowing how to do it" because she literally did one in her stupid tv show Suits) and HARRY DID NOTHING ABOUT IT. I think most of us hated her for that one.

You forgot to mention her fake car chase story in Manhattan to mimic Diana and how she lied in court about not having anything to do with Finding Freedom. She also bullied her staff, was rude, and stuck out her tongue at a royal event which was inappropriate.

As a California native I feel loathing for M&H as well! They came here thinking they they could get away with atrocious behavior which wouldn’t have been tolerated anywhere. I grew up near where M did. Not so posh a neighborhood, we expect that people will have manners here too. We don’t suffer fools gladly and the Duke and Duchess showed their true selves rapidly. Love your show Neil and the gardens and flowers always brighten my day. Also love your memories and stories. Old films and scenes of London are favorites. Pat, proud Californian.

One thing King Charles can do and should do before he leaves the world that would be beneficial to the British, to the monarchy and to the next King is removing Harry's Duke title, to save Prince William's trouble when he sits on the throne. With all the trouble Charles brings to the monarchy and to his family with his affair, the pain he caused for William and Harry, the least he could do is at least save William from further pain that he had caused.
I wonder how far removed from reality it’s possible to be when I read posts such as this. Times without number there have been critical comments, usually from the USA , with advice for the King on what he ought to be doing with regards to the Sussexes. So many people, over the last couple of years have endeavoured not to point out the workings of a constitutional monarchy, so to paraphrase, what YOU an do and should do is acquaint yourself with how the system works. The Kings powers are symbolic, the power to change/ amend laws lies entirely with Parliament and its process , that is democracy . The least you can do is to make sure if your facts before you offer your advice which is based on ignorance.
