    seems like even if I got a pin from this move, I'd still get yelled at from being on my back for that split second. fun to hit live at practice tho.

    Having discovered this video last summer I started drilling the technique for Submission Grappling; I found that it allowed for the mounted guillotine, a neck crank from side control and was a brilliant entry into the “truck” position. Also, I was preferring this over the Kimura trap , a long time favorite attack against wrestlers.

    This was called "The Grasshopper" when I wrestled in the 90's. It was a very clever deception. Dangle the lead leg offering it up for the single leg & #BOOM ,pin, match!

  • @SlowlyFallingUpwards
    @SlowlyFallingUpwards 4 года назад +2

    I used to do a similar move, instead of dropping to my side I sat but with my free leg hooking theirs at the the same time with my arm closing the cradle then I rolled him back and I arched or sometimes just rolled along and stayed on top with the cradle or half... however I felt. But this here what you showed makes it look a lot easier hahaha AWESOME!!

    I do this move all the time in high school, it works extremly well and most people don't know about it. One thing I do differently though is from the front headlock on the right, I sprawl both legs as far left as I can get them then get deep on the knee to lock up. It's a little quicker with less risk

    Wrestlers, this is a great counter move. However, it's very important you don't allow your opponent a single leg just so you can attempt this move. Great wrestlers have great balance and will very likely finish a single leg. That being said, Mr. Kolat is exceptional and his techniques are nothing short of fantastic.

    • @KOLATCOM
      @KOLATCOM  8 лет назад +4

      If you beat him to the ankle he will not be able to drop to his knees. So you need to drill this and get the setup right so you can surprise your opponent when you go for it.

  • @tmanifold

    @razaviknows by sacrifice move i just mean a technique which starts with you falling backwards.
