Braun Strowman winning the tag team titles with a 10 year old kid was the most absurd of them all. I wouldn’t be surprised if that kid became real popular at his school though. LOL

The WCW talent were jealous of the great Judy Bagwell. Her finisher the Arthritic Grip was inescapable. Men like Goldberg and Sting cowered in her presence
Sable helped revive the Women's Title because of her overwhelming hype, Debra won because WWF was desperate of stripping Sable of her title after she refused and wanted to leave with the title, and Kat won because yeah, the puppies hype was the rage. After the Hervina incident, idk what exactly happened but we had more and more serious champions sans Stephanie but she did help churn out very strong storylines out of the title, Jacqueline, Lita, Chyna and even Trish despite her limited abilities at the time really elevated the title.
Judy Bagwell being tag champ literally makes no sense 😂 I'm glad I didn't really watch WCW during this period. I pretty much stopped after 1997 so missed that stinker
I'm in the minority here but I liked Braun taking a "random kid" to beat Cesaro. He was booked as a monster already and beating the 2 by himself wasn't unthinkable, but him taking the piss out of the bar with a kid was anything but forgettable.

David Arquette's run in WCW is like a Mandela effect, he was by far the most entertaining person on the show at that point, would have been a wasted opportunity if they hadn't created any interest at all with it. His OTT heel work and backstage bits with Courteney Cox and Kurt Russell were genuinely funny. Okay, giving him the big belt was perhaps a step too far, but completely writing off his stint as an example of WCW's failure as a company is definitely a revised version of this period.
If I owned and booked my own wrestling promotion, yes I'd probably book myself to win the world title to fulfill a bucket-list dream. However, I'd do it in a storyline the likes of me doing my best to keep the gold from the biggest babyface. Then after being annoying for a month-ish with "how great I am" he'd beat the snot out of me and get the title anyways.
WTH WCW? If Kenny Kaos's injury allowed Rick Steiner to choose a replacement, why wouldn't Rick's injury do the same for Judy? That's the problem, lack of consistency in following the rules.
Don't bother trying to make sense out of anything that happened during the last 18 months of WCW. Even though I was pretty much only watching WWF at the time I would occasionally still check out Nitro because it was so surreal and awful.
I am one of the few wrestling fans who loved the angle when David Arquette won the WCW title. It was a good example of something wrestling seem to forget sometimes, that anything can happen in sports and in wrestling. Its very important to surprise once in a while so the shows dont get stale.
Russo killed WCW when he put the belt on David Arquette. You can get away with that for a lesser title. You absolutely CANNOT do that with your highest prize. It completely devalues your entire show.
Fun fact: Gillberg's Light Heavyweight Championship reign was longer than all of Bill Goldberg's Championship reigns....
