In my opinion, this is BlackPink’s best song! They have some good music, one of few kpop girl groups I like, and I like their other music also. But this one is my favorite, I was waiting for them to make something like this, because these girls are very talented.

AIGHT... just DONE subscribing and if we gonna talk about these ladies then the word that comes to mind first is either "DUALITY" nor "VERSATILE" cuz each of them are mad talented and also well-trained all-rounder musical artist... Therefore eventhough they came from particular South Korea record label that massively known for their hip-hop flare within their music....Also shortly speaking these ladies knows no boundaries when it comes to any genre.... another thing that i need to say is each song within their previous albums were fairly sounds different to each other so i'd say just make sure to becareful to not putting anytype of over-expectation and as an advice it'll be better to keep it lowkey until you get to see/hear the full part of any song from their older releases... but yea menn you just made such a great decision cuz you just found 'em at the very right timing... You will love this girls and you will never get bored. Their songs are unique with mixtures of different genres and by that they compliment each other like the members themselves. Blackpink two colors and dualities of each member with savage, coolness, badass and at the same time pretty cute and sweet. They are very different from other groups. For me they are more cooler than bg😂✌️. They are only 6yrs old band with very few songs and comebacks, the longest is 2yrs hiatus but still managed to be on top. They can carry themselves individually also in so many kinds of activities. That's why they are capturing the whole world right now in terms of music and fashion. So enjoy!

I am very happy about the hiphop homage they did for Pink Venom, it's the highlight of the song for me. But it's simply untrue to say they pay the most homage to hiphop out of all the groups in kpop. They did it in one song, that was not written or produced by themselves. BTS has paid homage in countless songs, that they've written/helped produced themselves. So it's actual homage from themselves. The amount and degree of their hiphop homage is staggering. Their rappers are huge hiphop heads with a vast knowledge of hiphop. BTS was even sent to L.A specifically for hiphop training and were tutored by hiphop artists like Coolio, Tony Jones and Warren G. They filmed their experience and made it into a show series, you can watch it - it's called American Hustle Life. In the BTS song Hip Hop Lover, they pay homage to some of their hiphop inspirations, including a lot of old school ones. It's a club banger for how it's arranged but it would annoy the shit out of me if I was driving.
The musical references here are pretty extensive, Jennie starts out with a reference to Biggie's famous line "kick in the door, wavin the 44"(Jennie says Coco). Next Lisa references Rhianna's "Pon de Replay" with "One by one and two by two" and also 50 Cent's P.I.M.P. with "you can't get a dollar outta me". Rosé and Jisoo both reference Taylor Swift with "look what you made us do". Finally, the Jennie/Lisa rap verse is backed by a sample of Ice Cube/Easy-E's part of "Gangster Gangster" by N.W.A. They(Teddy and the girls) definitely weren't shy about shouting out their inspirations/favorite artists in this song.

You will love this girls and you will never get bored. Their songs are unique with mixtures of different genres and by that they compliment each other like the members themselves. Blackpink two colors and dualities of each member with savage, coolness, badass and at the same time pretty cute and sweet. They are very different from other groups. For me they are more cooler than bg😂✌️. They are only 6yrs old band with very few songs and comebacks, the longest is 2yrs hiatus but still managed to be on top. They can carry themselves individually also in so many kinds of activities. That's why they are capturing the whole world right now in terms of music and fashion. So enjoy!

YG producers have been mixing genres (Hip-Hop, EDM, Trap, etc.) eversince they founded the label - the main founder, also Teddy (Blackpink’s producer/director and former member of 1Tym one of first hiphop groups in Korea) who is Korean/American from California (hope I remember it righ) hence the hiphop influences are evident.

I am very happy about the hiphop homage they did for Pink Venom, it's the highlight of the song for me. But it's simply untrue to say they pay the most homage to hiphop out of all the groups in kpop. They did it in one song, that was not written or produced by themselves. BTS has paid homage in countless songs, that they've written/helped produced themselves. So it's actual homage from themselves. The amount and degree of their hiphop homage is staggering. Their rappers are huge hiphop heads with a vast knowledge of hiphop. BTS was even sent to L.A specifically for hiphop training and were tutored by hiphop artists like Coolio, Tony Jones and Warren G. They filmed their experience and made it into a show series, you can watch it - it's called American Hustle Life.
In the BTS song Hip Hop Lover, they pay homage to some of their hiphop inspirations, including a lot of old school ones. In that one song alone, they reference in their lyrics: Tupac, Biggie, Jay-Z, KRS-One, Gang Starr, Black Star, Eric B, Rakim, Pete Rock, CL Smooth, Illmatic (Nas's album), Doggystyle (Snoop's album), In My Mind (Pharrell's album), Ready To Die (Biggie's album), The Chronic and 2001 (Dr. Dre's albums), Eminem, J.
