It's an awesome phone, and I came from the S23 Ultra and Pixel 8 Pro (I like my tech). I would say the Pixel 8 Pro has the better camera for stills, but in every other aspect, the S24 Ultra wins.
I traded in the s23 ultra for the s24 ultra such minor upgrades but The flat screen alone makes me enjoy it a lot more so I guess it was worth it. I find myself missing the pixel experience though but every time I go back to those I end up going straight back to the ultra lol Google software is amazing hardware and performance always a struggle. Makes me think though Samsung and Google work so much together I mean the s24 is Google eccentric why can't those two just completely merge their phone part of the companies and give us a Galaxy pixel or something like that. That thing would completely dominate the market stock Android experience with Samsung hardware let's start a petition!!!!
Returned my S24 Ultra today, sticking with my Pixel 7 Pro for awhile longer. Been on pixels and OP's for maybe the last 8 years and love the clean OS on both, Sammy's before that. Was stunned at the bloatware on the Ultra, nice enough build but whatever. I never use the S-Pen, just bought the phone to see what the fuss is all about and to try sammy after a long hiatus...fail. The fact that after tradein for my pixel I still had to cough up CAD $1700 for the 256 is just laughable: honestly for my use case I couldn't find a single thing it does better than my pixel. Flat screen is nice tho', will wait for the pixel 8 to have a price drop then prob grab one.
Pixels have bloat as well. Google tv and all that crap is bloat that nobody uses. My car does not have Android auto (bloat). I don't use Google chrome either, but cannot uninstall it from my 25 ultra. Bloat. All phones have bloat sir.
I also returned mine and got an iPhone 15 pro max. I got an 14 pro max before and an note 10+ before the 14 pro max. So I wanted to try Samsung again but the corners are just too much. I couldn’t play games or watch RUclips for more then 1 hour, because the sharp corner would stick my hand to much.
I am also bothered that the A.I. features on the S24 series will be subscription based. They never annouced it during the launch. It is super shady and slimey of them to do that. I am a Samsung user for over 10 plus years( had a S7 currently using a Note 10 plus that needs upgrading) and may not get the S24 Ultra just to protest. Not that it will make a difference but I don't like being deceived like that. I may just go for an iphone this year either the 15 or 16 pro max I can't decide 🤔

$1700 is disgusting screw that....u can get an iPhone and One Plus 12 for that price 🤣.....let's not forget the S Pen sticks out to the street💀
