I was wondering if we could get together and try and convince all the non veteran politicians to make it happen that all veterans have a roof over their head and do it without playing politics. Just be grateful that you have your seat in office probably thanks to a veteran
@@edwardoconnell8402 If our politicians would stop sending our tax dollars to other countries to buy their friendships, we'd have plenty of money to be taking care of our veterans...however, its all about under the table dealings in government, how much money the politicians can line their pockets with to use our tax dollars for their pet projects and their friends, and trying to buy the friendships of every other country. When I got back from Iraq in 2005, seeing other soldiers in the demobilization station that had been there for months or years waiting for their discharge orders because of various problems they had, I as well as many other soldiers from my unit just played the check the boxes game so we could come home to our families rather than get stuck at a military base hundreds of miles from home with no end date in sight. Oh, the terrible mistake that was....now almost 2 decades later, I and several of my fellow Army buddies regret that decision as we now have various problems that have arisen from the deployment, non-documented so we are now stuck with absolutely no help. When I got home, all my bags and footlockers sat untouched for many years, when I finally did open them I threw away everything that was in them, I didn't care about any of it, that's how the military treated me, that's how all the uniforms, ribbons, certificates and everything else got treated as well. Even now, I honestly don't care....if I could get back in and finish the last 8-9 years so I could get a pension I would, but would it really be worth it, I honestly don't know anymore. Things went from bad to worse after I returned home, it hasn't gotten any better, and with no help from the military at all you just kind of learn to deal with everything on your own....I've lost so many fellow soldiers since returning from that 1 deployment nobody should ever feel their life is so bad they have to end it. My company never lost a single person, we had injuries, but no lives lost...yet we return home and we have soldiers committing suicide for multiple reasons....yet the military and government don't give a damn, once we've done our jobs that they sent us out to do, they couldn't care any less about us. They care even less once we've left the service....and the ones who do receive any sort of money, if the government could figure out a way to take it they would.
Thank You For Your Service AND Your Sacrifice! Your success in life is Speaks Volumes as to your Internal Fortitude. God Bless You and Your Family, Brother. Semper Fi !!

All veterans wrote a check "Up to and including my life" with false promises from the government that we'd be taken care of. Canada treats Veterans worse than the U.S. does, with almost no help. The U.K. treats veterans way better than the country that produces more Veterans than any other. We in the U.S. need to stand up, and do the right thing.
@@FOXRANGERTAILS I come from a long line of Veterans, myself included. My dad DIED waiting for help from the VA. I have an uncle that is a Canadian Army Vet, and they have a whole lot less than even we do.
My younger brother was in marines he claimed agent orange had affected him. He passed 2017 of cancer. Our youngest brother in Air Force passed from gun shot wounds in 1990. I see someone disrespectful to a veteran beware. At work I thank military personnel for their service every day. Beautiful story thank you for sharing this.
I watched this about 12 hours before my phone rang. My uncle was in the ER...they kept losing him. I live close by so I got there quickly....my mother (his sister) and his wife were there. We were told what was happening and the decision was made not to shock him or perform CPR again the next time his heart stopped. We all joined him but he obviously wasn't conscious. My mother and his wife went back to the waiting room but I couldn't leave him alone or with strangers. I talked to him even after his last breath. I have known the coroner for fifty years and the ER called him. There wasn't anyone else from the USMC in the ER so I refused to leave him. I was okay with leaving him in the coroner's care...I knew he would take care of him even if he wasn't my uncle. He was 88 years old...USMC Korea and Vietnam combat veteran....20 years of service. In my eyes he was never a "former" Marine and he lived his life with honor and dignity befitting a Marine. I don't know why I'm telling y'all of his death but probably to let every Marine know that I not only appreciate "my" Marine but every Marine. Sending warm regards from Kentucky.
The wounded vet is a special breed. I have also had a tough go since I lost my right leg below the knee. I still get out to play hockey with my kids occasionally but it hurts pretty bad still, after a few hours on skates my prosthesis cause my stump to chaffe bad. I'm the coach so I have to be there.
Our veterans are our heros. They should get everything free...free I respect all my veterans 🙏 my husband was a soldier in the army .he told never stop talking to your friends. They are forever friend. So I have 124 soldiers on my page I call them everyday to say good morning have a great day.amen
Marine, the term former is a high sign of respect. This means you served honorably and have retired or honorable discharged. I have very close friends who are Marines and are always proud to be in their company. My beat partner on the California Highway Patrol is a former Marine and we fought many good fights together. In fact, he always tell me that I am a former ground pounder he is proud to stand with and together. So I hope I have never disrespected any Marine, and thank you for your dedication to our country. Former Army ground pounder and Highway man. God bless you sir.
It wasn't the war so much as it was the people of America. The Leftists spat on us and called us "baby killers." TV Cop shows always had former Green Beret and Marines as "psycho" killers and the rest of America, including WW2 vets turned their backs on us. Agent Orange poisoning was denied and Jimmy Carter gave "Expeditious Discharges" to deserters entitling them to the GI benefits the honorable had earned.
I know. I've held strong brave warriors as they cry. My brother Marine Recon in Nam. He came home changed. I dated other warriors. Once in a while they'll tell a small part of the HELL they endured They won't talk about the horrors, but for a minute or 2.
Not all combat veterans have the same experience, your experience was not mine, mine was not my sons and my sons was not my fathers. We were all affected by our time in combat in different ways but none of us had terrible dreams. We all have regrets but we only did things that were required of us by our country. You do not kill another human being without it making a mark on your soul. How each person handles that is unique to themself. I see it as killing to defend myself and those around me, that is advice I was given by my father and I subsequently passed to my son. No terrible tempers and no bad dreams other than seeing my brothers killed. I am uncomfortable without a weapon by my side to defend myself and my family. I pray I never have to use it to take another life but will not have regrets if forced to do so. Stay strong in knowing that you did nothing wrong in defending our country brother. Take solace in the fact that you have the humanity to have it bother you to take another’s life and to see our brothers wounded and killed. You did nothing wrong. You and all of my fellow veterans are always in my prayers.
@@wildbill23c Being a sister I can't know the horrors warriors experience. But seeing my Marine Recon brother back from Nam, I feel I can understand. Knowing other warriors, I've seen the tears, the far away look in their eyes. We saw the change in him. His silence. If he mentioned the war, it was brief. A minute or 2. The tears that came to his eyed. I've seen the strong brave courageous men cry. Unashamed. It humbles you. To a non military family,, they're clueless as to the sacrifice these men give. What their families fear. GOD BLESS ALL WARRIORS.
No matter what branch you are from you will always be apart of that Branch even outside of the military. One of my grandpa's died as a military police officer. And my other one died as a Navy bomb sweeper. It's not just a job it is who you become and who you are you will always carry what you were taught. In matter of minutes if something happens to our United States you would be right back on that battlefield. Much much love and respect to our branches
Beautiful story that should happen more there are only a few good men and women out there to give another chance at life from those longing for a better life for themselves and children left behind. Thank God for these great people that had so much love to offer others.
Watching this video reminds me of myself years ago. I was having problems with my wife and I ended up in home less shelter, when my counselor found out that I was a veteran she got me out extremely quickly and told me that I served the nation and I would do it again, so with this veteran, my advice is go to the VA and they will help he served and because he is honorable discharged they will help financially because of his injury I know
This was a awesome story , I was in the Navy , but not for very long due to medical issues. It was very hard for me to find a good job , but the love of my life hung in there with me and we've been married 47 years and have 2 sons I'm very proud of . Money isn't always every thing . Home , family , and faith in God is . Thank you .
The military is a family. In Families you have Mothers, Fathers, Brothers, Sisters, Grandparents, Aunts, and uncles. Just like they all have each other we to have one another no matter the branch we are all Brothers and Sisters. Thank you to all who have, do, and will serve. Your Brother an Army soldier.

So glad that after being so cruelly treated by his Ex-girlfriend or ex-wife, thar Quentin finally found the true Love ❤️ of his life! Can't speak for all veterans, but I devoted 30 years of service to America -military, and working for the VBA working compensation and pension claims. I helped thousands across this nation and hundreds in WA ; I never ignored a veteran in need, and always treated them with respect ! Didn't care if it was a Officer or the lowest private, I did all I could to help my brothers and sisters who've served ! Yes, it is shameful how veterans get treated ; things are getting better though, there are still good people out there ! Semper Fi marine, not a Marine myself, just a former USAF Sergeant !

My husband was in the Navy, was injured & still suffers from his injuries, but thankfully after many years, received treatment for his PTSD! I pray everyone that was in the Military receives the respect & care they need.
Thank you for sharing this informative & needed story. Lord bless you all. 💗🙏 Pat
My father retired as a Marine and in the time of his death The Marine Corps gave him the proper burial for a Marine.
God Bless You Mac your father is looking down from Heaven saying be strong my son I love you 🙏🙏
Always Faithful
Small price for anyone who risked their life for God & country. Both my parents were Army Veterans. Mom a nurse & Daddy a lifer. Thank you for your father's service. Semper fi.
Great story, so happy Simon found his grandparents and had adoptive parents who loved him.
NO VETERIN should ever be homeless. Period.
I am an Vietnam Veteran. This is no Veteran that served in any Branch of Service.
The V.A. will always be there to take of them.
Quentin should be 100% Plus Disabled with permanent no Cost to take care of him for the rest of his Life with a Monthly tax free Income.
The shame of our country.
Amen ❣️
Thank You For Your Service AND Your Sacrifice! Your success in life is Speaks Volumes as to your Internal Fortitude. God Bless You and Your Family, Brother. Semper Fi !!
God bless America and all those veterans who served, our Country 🇺🇸.
Devil Dog Mom. Sister of 3 Vietnam Vets a Daughter of a Korean and ww2 Vet and on and on. God Bless Our Troops and our Amazing Vets!
My dad was a marine he was a marine a very proud marine both of my brothers marines andmy niece all marines trained at paris island very proud of that too and we were all very proud of them too always faithful
They are brothers forever. Thank you for your service and sacrifices. God bless you Sir.
The family of misfortune individuals found true happiness together.
What a beautful story. My Uncle who passed would said once a Marine always a Marine . Even when you leave the Marines your still Marine .
Our soldiers are being treated disgracefully not only in America, but every where it’s so so terrible
They saw us as expendable from day one. We were considered trash then and now.
thank you for saying something
@@FOXRANGERTAILS I come from a long line of Veterans, myself included. My dad DIED waiting for help from the VA. I have an uncle that is a Canadian Army Vet, and they have a whole lot less than even we do.
Tell that to your politician
My younger brother was in marines he claimed agent orange had affected him. He passed 2017 of cancer. Our youngest brother in Air Force passed from gun shot wounds in 1990. I see someone disrespectful to a veteran beware. At work I thank military personnel for their service every day. Beautiful story thank you for sharing this.
🫡
Lost my brother in law to cancer from agent orange, you have my sincerest sympathy
So sorry for your losses
You and me both
I'm not military but even I know there's no such thing as a "former" marine. Once a Marine always a Marine
Semper Fidelis ❤
Your uncle still lives in your heart, and thank you for your comment, Semper Fi.
@@jerrysullivan8424 Thank you, sir.
God Bless the US Marines!
Thanks for your service!! Everyone please remember the ones that didn’t make it back!! Thanks
Thank you to all who have served and their family
No veteran should never be a homeless ever they should be special..people.
Our veterans are our heros. They should get everything free...free I respect all my veterans 🙏 my husband was a soldier in the army .he told never stop talking to your friends. They are forever friend. So I have 124 soldiers on my page I call them everyday to say good morning have a great day.amen
Amen!!
THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL STORY OF LOVE. FIRST BY SIMON AND HIS ADOPTED PARENTS AND SIMON'S GRAND PARENTS. ITS A (A+).
Vietnam was a rotten war. To all Vietnam veterans I thank you all for your service.
Vietnam Soldiers were treated like shit. They got no respect when they came home. I was in High School at that time. It was so sad.
@@robertasyme9419 YEs that is true. THey were ridiculed. But now, they are respected.
TY. As a Marine and Vietnam vet, I'll say we didn't lose that war. It was the politicians and perfumed princes at the Pentagon that GAVE it away.
@@jungojerry1658 You are correct. The military didn't lose the war; politicians did.
This brings tears of happiness to my soul!!
I want to thank you for your selfless service it is greatly appreciated what the military does for our country. Keep the faith
No one knows what it's like to be a Combat Veteran. We battle horrible dreams and tempers that scare family members. We help not judgement.
The only people who understand are other combat veterans.
@@wildbill23c
Being a sister I can't know the horrors warriors experience.
God bless you all for your courageous service to your country
No matter what branch you are from you will always be apart of that Branch even outside of the military. One of my grandpa's died as a military police officer. And my other one died as a Navy bomb sweeper. It's not just a job it is who you become and who you are you will always carry what you were taught. In matter of minutes if something happens to our United States you would be right back on that battlefield. Much much love and respect to our branches
We literally owe our lives and freedoms to them! God bless them!
What a beautiful story..❤
GOD BLESS EVERYONE WHO GAVE US THESE FREEDOMS WE ENJOY !!!!!!
What a beautiful story.
Once a Marine, ALWAYS a Marine!!!! Semper Fi, from an Airman.
May God look after my brother and all my brothers and sisters who struggle after giving their all.
Beautiful story that should happen more there are only a few good men and women out there to give another chance at life from those longing for a better life for themselves and children left behind. Thank God for these great people that had so much love to offer others.
Watching this video reminds me of myself years ago. I was having problems with my wife and I ended up in home less shelter, when my counselor found out that I was a veteran she got me out extremely quickly and told me that I served the nation and I would do it again, so with this veteran, my advice is go to the VA and they will help he served and because he is honorable discharged they will help financially because of his injury I know
Just a stepping stone to a beautiful story ❤

Wow! touching! The Marine stood his ground and continued pressing forward. He cared for his wife and son! PTL! For the Perez family who found young Simon! Don’t give up, never give up! Semper Fi
This stupid shit never happened.
Retired Army myself, I make it a priority to thank ppl for their service. Weather Army, navy, air force, etc. were all family. To serve and protect
SUCH A BEAUTIFUL STORY. THANK YOU❤❤❤

I once heard a Marine explain it this way: "There are young Marines and old Marines, active Marines and retired Marines, live Marines and dead Marines. But there is no such thing as a FORMER Marine!"
What a beautiful story, thank you for it 💯❤️👍🏻👌🏻
