I cannot express how jealous and awestruck I would have been. Luscious Lita was (and still is in a sense) my childhood crush. From the Runaways to that "Kiss Me Deadly" video; But I digress. I would have turned into a massive puddle of goo 😂.
Having played for almost 30 years; I cannot imagine a more entertaining jam session. Great job to everyone by the way; sounded great

It's so thrilling to play a song that fascinates me, jamming with the real person who performs that song. I always take advantage of the "free flow jam" to get with a counselor that is noted for an 80s song that always caught my fancy. I have also done the Whitesnake song "Here I Go Again" with the bass player Rudy Sarzo and the Madonna song "Masterpiece" with Madonna guitarist Monte Pittman.

The room you see in this video is just one of maybe a dozen band rehearsal studios in the complex where the camp was held. Some of the studios are bigger than others as far as square footage. The camp has a number of bands that rehearse there for 4 days. There is a main room with a stage that is used for performing with the headlining act. This camp had us performing with Def Leppard, and I have since done camps with Sammy Hagar (Van Halen) and Nancy Wilson (Heart). The camper bands also perform their sets at local venues in the evenings.
Each band is mentored for the weekend by a prominent music professional. You see Lita Ford here, and she usually mentors the chick band at the camp. For this camp, I had Vinnie Apice, drummer for Black Sabbath.
