This is some of the best info I have seen on catching Goggle Eyes. I have caught them during the day in the bay using sabiki and chum but, I will def try to go at night and seeif I can troll them up. Thanks for a great video! - Capt Dan
I've never caught a goggle eye... just hundreds of them. And I have some tips, but... you just cover most of them, 😆 what can I say, you are the man! You have caught most desirable game fish species making it look as easy as watching a RUclips video! 😉
Thanks for the info man. I saw your first video of you showing your method of how you do it from the kayak...worked amazing for me at dania. Keep the great vids coming brother.
Jajaja
They can be found all the way to 400feet but here in Florida you can get close to shore not all the way but 8 to 20 feet for sure, if you can't, look for them a bit deeper, i do it shallow because I'm on a kayak and so far is working great for me, let me know how you do if you try this!
FL FISHING CHANNEL we fish out of Dania too lol. But he said he’s been too close one time and was told he couldn’t get that close to shore. But this was also during the day.
Live and also dead, it all depends what im Targeting mostly 5/0 circle hook when i do a butterfly for bottom fishing i be posting a video on how to do it very soon!
I'm in pompano beach, do you catch on the canals or out on the ocean? Also you catch them trolling only? I got a 150 motor what sink size would your recommend? Thanks man
I remember on the party boats people would catch them while yellowtail fishing. Probably because they're using light jigs with silversides. I've also seen them caught in the daytime at the pier with tiny jigs.
Do you ever use your 2.5 in idle to pull the sabiki? I have a 2.5 setup similar to yours, but without hobie pedals and would like to use the motor. Thank you for the sabiki tip, as I never thought about trolling sabiki rigs.
Great Tips
🙏👊
One of the best gog videos. So many videos say you need to go to 100+ ft to catch em.

@@RickysFishingAdventures Yo have to go and see the price. They are not that cheap online.

Do goggle eyes only feed at night ?
ALSO DURING THE DAY BUT THEY ARE EXTREMELY HARD TO CATCH DURING DAY TIME THERE IS A WAY I WILL MAKE A VIDEO SOON!
Are google eye good for cut bait off the bridge ???
they are good for anywhere that has salt water lol yes b they great bait!
Great video! Do you fish for goggle eye with your kayak offshore or in the inter coastal?
Nice! Se pueden usar los goggle eye cortados desde el puente? Yo se que son mas duros que el herring, pero no se si se le tiren igual. Que tu crees?
Muchacho ellos son oro de donde sea q los uses !

How many goggle eyes can a hobie livewell hold ? To keep them alive.
About 10
Are they only near shore? Or on the reef too?
Don’t know if 8-20 feet is too close to shore for a big boat. Legally at least.
They can be found all the way to 400feet but here in Florida you can get close to shore not all the way but 8 to 20 feet for sure, if you can't, look for them a bit deeper, i do it shallow because I'm on a kayak and so far is working great for me, let me know how you do if you try this!
Btw i have done it on friends boats without a problem or braking any laws but maybe your area is different im in South Florida !

@@chrisz.9974 lok during day time you can't get to close especially if you are getting close to the pier .
You keep them alive or you use them dead? What hook number do you use to attach them and use them as bait?

Pompano is a great area for gogs, from a boat you hve to use 6oz,8oz or even more, you can also anchor and chum they will come if they around
That's a fish that can be catch anywhere or just in your area. I fish in tampa bay I never catch one.
Many places and countries have this fish they are in tampa 100% but not sure where i never fish there but i know people catch them over there !
I remember on the party boats people would catch them while yellowtail fishing. Probably because they're using light jigs with silversides. I've also seen them caught in the daytime at the pier with tiny jigs.
