@@naosou921 I have certain fave solo reactors to Buffy,but i’ve never laughed so hard as at the normies reactions! they make some of the season one clunkers joy filled instead. i suddenly can’t wait til 2-5, my most hosted, and just worst episode of the franchise to see how they mock it. My only new worry is Suraj wasn’t in this reaction!

Don't you just love the fact that Buffy the superhero when she gets scared at night runs into her mother's arms?
I think that's kind of similar to when Bucky said how he doesn't always use his metal arm for things, because as he's right handed, using his metal arm isn't usually the first thing that comes to mind. Same with Buffy I guess. She has super powers, but being 16 and only having her powers for a little more than a year, she still defaults to wanting protection from her parent. It's an interesting detail in the show.

Snyder is one of my favorite side characters. Also I lost it when the curtain opened.
I love how the new principal finally acknowledges the weird accidents during the school term - they stack up ! Some great red herrings in this episode.
Awesome reaction, guys. The Puppet Show has so many terrific moments and Pat clutching the cushion made my day. Fun fact, Xander holding Sid and saying Red Rum was an ad lib by Nick Brendon that everyone thought was funny, so they left it in. Keep up the great work. For the criticism you want: audio levels are super low. If a person doesn't have a mic directly in front of them it's super noticeable.

My bf got me watching Star gate Sg1 and Principal Snyder plays a character in one of the episodes and i was like OMG SNYDER
You should get into watching Star Trek Deep Space Nine. He's great in that as a regular character for the whole run!

I like how Buffy & the gang are way more emotional about Sid The Dummy dying over Morgan who they actually knew & went to class with everyday
The 2nd to last scene when they are all caught like deers in the headlight as the curtain rises was hysterical!
I love how much you love this episode!!! Watching you watch early Buffy feels better than re-watching certain episodes (though I do love The Puppet Show anyway, so this was gravy).

My fear of ventriloquists’ dummies doesn’t even come from a movie…it came from a trailer to a movie I was too young to see: “Magic” starring a young Anthony Hopkins. As I recall, the trailer just focused on the dummy’s eyes and his creepy voice. That ruined me lol
I remember that trailer. Creeped me out for weeks.

Truly some great commentary and reaction from you all. Re-watching this is even better and it was amazing the first time.
Love the reaction. The sound is fine except the slight echoing of the room. This one is always fun. We get a little more of Buffy's power when she crushes that lock on the locker. Plus, the puppet always freaks people out, which makes the twist all the more better. Nobody expects it.
By the way, just a little easter egg you all may want to keep an eye out for. At the very end of the episode, after the credits, there is the Mutant Enemy logo with monster that says "Grr, Arg". There are around a half dozen episodes where this is altered, so it's a fairly well known Easter egg to keep an eye out for. I won't spoil which episodes have them, as it usually is on fairly significant and/or emotional episodes, so I'd suggest to just keep an eye out on the logo. They are customized to the episode in question and add that little extra touch to some of the episodes. I guess Buffy had the whole post credit thing down before Marvel, except it's only every once in a blue moon here.
Also, just wanted to say, I'm pretty sure that each of the next episodes are going to great. I personally love the next one. Still, the season finale is epic, in my opinion. Can't wait to see your reaction to it. I want to say so much more, but sadly, spoilers will probably pop out, so until next week.

I did one talent show - it wasn’t done as a competition or anything. My sisters and I did a dance performance we had done at our dance school just a year or two prior, I think. Very basic jazz/contemporary choreo to Sister Sledge’s “We Are Family.”
Even though we all haven’t performed it in a good 3 decades, I bet we could recall quite a bit of it.

This episode was something else. Not one of my favourites, but I enjoy a lot people's reaction to it. You guys didn't disappoint. xD And I always like the twist at the end where it turns out the creepy puppet is one of the good guys.
SINCE YOU ASKED the audio was ok, maybe it could be louder. But also, y'all are very brightly lit, which must be hard on you when you watch something as dark as BTVS, but also makes it harder to adjust my own screen's brightness when I watch along. That's my feedback

this is my second favourite buffy episode of the series. I just like how it's classic monster of the week.

Are your main room lights dimmable at all? Just a smidge would help mobile viewers. Your large, bare, white wall is blinding on screen, but Buffy is kind of dark so in order to see the Buffy clips we need to keep our screen brightness up high. Not a complaint, just a heads up if you are doing some fine tuning of your set up.

Final Comment: Armin Shimmerman, makes three people from the show now, that I recall, that I've met. Hmm. Oh! He and Renee, played rivals in, "Walker, Texas Ranger". In that show, Mercedes McNab, got tied to a chair with a bomb under it. But in this show, she somehow avoids bondage scenes. 🤔
Mark 9:21. An advertisement for, "Jurassic World: Dominion", just ended. Jeff Goldblum's character mentioned something about extinction. Then it occurred to me. If you're on Buffy's Planet Earth, and all of the Natural Life suddenly became extinct, including microbes and plants, what would become of the the, Paranormal or Supernatural life forms, some of whom are considered to be, "Undead"?
Would it be considered a victory by those that wanted to conquer the World, now that the residents are gone? A loss of food supply? 🤔

People always tell me season 1 sucks i love it so far.
I like this episode because it shows how teenage Buffy doesn't understand Sid wanting his freedom but as she get older she does.
It's probably unlikely but Chris talking about Chucky made me hope that they can react to the Chucky movies and TV series. I'm a big fan and Chris got some details right but others not so much.
SPOILERS down below!
Serial Killer Charles Lee Ray's soul is in a Good Guy Doll not puppet. He did this by using voodoo and it was after he was being chased by a police detective and was shot by him in a toy store that had the Good Guys dolls. Charles did the voodoo spell with his hand on one of the dolls just as he was dying.
The sex scene in Bride of Chucky is hilarious. He and his wife Tiffany argue over what he is made of and end up not using a condom. Since he becomes more human the longer his soul stays in the doll body (the same also applies to Tiffany), this results in them conceiving their kid and the sequel, Seed of Chucky. For practical effects there are several Chucky puppets managed by a team of puppeteers. There are also little people actors who play him throughout the movies for certain scenes. In the TV series they have a child actor wearing a red wig playing Chucky for specific scenes like him running up to someone.

At this point I thought they were doing it as a joke, until Rana was confused.
I don't think Snyder's introduction was disrespectful to anyone but Flutie. Concerning Buffy, Willow, and Xander, Snyder didn't do a thing wrong. He even came up with a great punishment. If Xander was clamoring for "the classic" it meant said detention meant nothing to him. If that happened to any other high schooler, in-universe or real life, "the classic" wouldn't do anything to ward them off a next time. Unorthodox punishments might. Snyder may dislike students, but he has the authority part of his job down better than Flutie. If there was a middle ground between the two, that is the real great principal.
Everyone obviously assumes the dummy is evil, but what do people think of the twist? I never hear much about it, despite the fact that I've never seen anyone guess correctly that he wasn't evil.
I laughed at 9:47-9:50 knowing the outcome. I loved that we hardly saw him before his reveal as the demon.
Xander's a thief, even if he claims good intentions, and even if Sid is alive. It's also another instance where Xander pokes fun at Buffy in a way she doesn't like by making fun of her dummy phobia. The first going back to making fun of Buffy being a slayer in the second episode when he thought it was bogus.
Giles is considered smart, but he willingly got into a guillotine. I think the demon just needs good book smarts, not good street smarts.
The network called the end credit play Shakespeare when asking the writers to change it because of Oedipus sleeping with his mother. Clearly they never heard of the play Oedipus Rex by Sophocles.
Naming a Cafeteria after Principal Flutie would be in bad taste

I found your channel again about two weeks ago and was so thrilled to see the Normies , Buffy the Vampire Slayer reactions. I grew up in the 70’s & 80’s . Then as an adult I watched the Buffy series. Religiously. It was so cool to see a show featuring a teen age girl kicking ass and fighting vampires and other strange monsters. Your crew reacted to Season 1 only Ep. 1-9.Will there be reactions to Season 1 Ep 10-12? Will there be more season reactions of Buffy series?
BTW? Your crew rocks, I wished I known friends like the Normies when I was a teenager.

The audio has a real problem. I didn't notice any echo, but the sound is very low. Even if you have a mic in front of you, sometimes it's still hard to hear you and if there isn't a mic in front of you, it's nearly impossible.

My favorite spot in the show is when Xander makes the Dummy say REDRUM e few times. The actuyally found a way to bring Stephen King into the Buffy show. That is 1 credit I will give to Joss Whedon.
