All "S" model wrx 's like the s204 was circuit racing inspired based on their endurance racing category at the time. WRX STI was rally inspired hence the difference in chassis rigidity. This car was also entered in the Japanese Taikyo endurance race series in Japan. So there you have it race track inspired WRX like the type r but 4wd.
“Up next on Motive our new S204” 😅
That would be sick
Here before the title gets fixed
😂
Wrs all the way
WRS boys 🤣🤣🤣👀
I used to love my old Wresy!
Love to see a review of the S402 Legacy they have as well
I never knew this existed until now…
@@v8_samiThese cars are often overlooked due to the popularity of the WRX and STI. I have a 08 Spec B, people always asked me what is it, and all I say is it’s an gentleman’s ver. STI with STI 6 transmission and rear dif.
@@jayc5470I regret selling my spec b almost a decade ago. Back then they were even less known/cared for.
Man I miss my Hawkeye. Had the ej207 v9 spec c type ra-r engine in it and man did that engine rip.
S20x series and the 22B are dream cars that i want to own.
But Prodrive did made a very rare Prodrive WRC/22B homage car for 600K is nuts.
Prob better price than the crazy GTR prices.
You can keep the S201 but I'll fight you for the P1
These special WRX models are getting huge asks.
But that’s because they are worth it!
Good video and I hope you all do more of these.
Even more special and more exclusive is the Spec C Type RA-R. That’s for sure gonna be a classic too.
It's not more special.
Made less power, interior finish wasn't as premium (doesn't have the carbon backed recaros, less gauge pod as standard)
Used to own one of these, currently in an s402. Awesome cars
As a subaru owner, I HATE the boxer rumble. If i could justify costs, i'd drop the UEL manifold in a heart beat.
That's how you know it's a hot Impreza.
Don't be gay
@@corinful The boxer rumble doesn't equate to power, just means you have an exhaust system. Hell, my first car was a stock liberty had the rumble and it was SLOW AS ALL FUCK. Running a UEL header is ROBBING power to "sound fast". Now, that would be "gay".
Followers remember when hawkins was like ohh this "track built rex is amazing" at wakefield..pro driver john boston takes car for 2 laps comes back and say "hawkins you have to be kidding yourself its rubbish.. #plugforcarsofjapan
America really got the short end of the stick when it comes to special edition euro & jdm cars. Hell we didn't even get the American Focus RS until maybe 5 years ago. I would love to own a GR spec C or R205. There's just something about the hatches.
R205 looks cool. Also, the hatch CS400 Cosworth edition that was sold in UK. Like this one.

Looks great in red.
Good to see Hawkins back in rexy
What about a video on the S207.
WE don't choose what they import. If they get one, they we review it.
I have a WR Blue Hawk STI and one of my dreams is s204.
Sounds a bit similar to the FA20 DIT
Is the power delivery more linear than the normal ej207 Sti?
Can I ask your thoughts on a GC8 Club Spec - are they worth getting? I know It's not an STI but more affordable.. currently... lol
It's just a WRX with a few dress up bits
Not even as good as the normal JDM WRX.
Ok thanks mate! @@WildDanHibiki
Damn, I seen a yellow one and just looked so fresh.. :( @@danhoani3672
What's the opening song?
Been waiting for this video! Ive just acquired my own S204 #421!
I’d pick one of these over a GTR 😬
Cool sti
Would rather have the Spec C RA-R
Yeeeeeees more Suby content.
Awesome stock vf42 turbo
S203* yeah the blobs
Luv to own this car 👌🏽
WRS?
JZS161 Aristo TOMS VA300 1 or 200
Way more rare.
Two completely different cars with different purposes and different driving experiences.
Damn that sounds good!
Is it special because it's not knocking? lol, someone had to go there lol
Any head gaskets hurt in the making of this video?
After having four WRX project cars we’ve blown zero head gaskets.
@@MotiveVideo Good for you.
Good for our viewers too so they can learn how to modify their cars better.
@@MotiveVideo For any viewers wishing to modify your Subaru for more power (and learn to modify your car better from RUclips comments). The stock head sealing is pretty average and sooner or later you will push a gasket without better/larger head studs and depending on power goals, closed deck, fire rings etc. Don't get me started on the bottom end. If you start modifying your stock engine with bigger turbo, more boost etc expect a rebuild sooner or later, can be said for a lot of performance cars but especially with EJ's, if you're going to modify one, start saving for an engine. I and many other know from experience.
Stock they are usually fine when treated right, and more so when Ej20 (like in this video) vs EJ25.
My OP was intended as a joke but perhaps got you at the end of a long day.
Love it but unequal is the only way 😂
Awsome.
✌️😎✌️🤙😝🤙
👍🇦🇺
front end so ugly 😭
