It has a light come on , it then switches to a set programme. Put a jug underneath and press dispence button it will push water through the pipes to flush them out . You will also have to dovthis if the machine stands fir a few days . Please let me know if yiu have any further questions

I wouldn't throw away the abroad cable that quickly just yet, you might live to regret it. Just tuck it away somewhere
