Kinda confused with the example 2. Beer ia bulk gain product because it need to be bottled. Why we dont count the bottle weight as a raw material? Like, didnt all production is reducing the weight because of all that process.
Hello! If you go through the example again, you'll notice that we're only considering 2 raw materials out of many possible raw materials for ease of explaining Weber's model here. So you're right. There will be other raw materials. But we're only considering water and grain and raw material, and a completed, bottle of beer as a finished product for simplicity. In a real-world situation, there will be various other considerations, and transporting commodities is also easier in general now, than in Weber's time. So the location of the factory in modern times will be based on many other factors.
