I tried this cake and it was amazingly delicious. Though I suggest to add more of the vanilla black tea and lavender to have that strong flavour on your cake and on the buttercream.🎉

Also American butter cream between the layers and flowers made of American butter cream and the Italian meringue is only on the outside correct? Please let me know ! Huge fan!

I just tried baking this cake tonight, and I doubled the recipe for (3) 8" pans as you explained on your website instructions, and... my cakes came out moist and with delicious flavor, but so soo thin. Any ideas on what I could have done wrong? I used those baking strips and baked at 340°. Suggestions please. Thanks.
I have only ever witnessed you use the cake pan wet fabric strips (sorry, forgot the proper name) on round cake pan--are they needed for square or rectangle pans? Is there a difference in using for other shaped pans?
Kitchennas - I find a substantial difference, especially in cakes that are going to be stacked. Strips or DYI strips are definitely worth the $ and/or time to make them 🙂
I want to make my friend an earl grey cake for her birthday as its her favourite, can i still use this recipe and replace the lavender and black tea for earl gray tea?
Hi! Beautiful cake! I’m a tad confused about the frosting. You mention below that you’ve made an Italian Merengue Buttercream, but the recipe you showed on the video is what I consider an American Buttercream. Am I going bonkers?
My buttercream is always too thin that I can’t pipe it . I’ve tried adding caster sugar/ icing sugar but it doesn’t really help . Can you suggest an alternative please ? Thanks 😬
