For hitting something as solid as a cement truck the damage to the lead locomotive wasn’t that bad. Glad no one was injured. That has to be a traumatic occurrence for the train crew though.
If he hit a mixer truck, it is full of concrete. If he hit one of those tankers full of a powdery substance, THAT would be cement. Concrete is cement + aggregate + admixes + water. Cement is a component of concrete.
Was it a cement truck which carries powdered cement or a concrete truck which carries liquid concrete, made of cement, water, gravel, and sand? Most people confuse the two.
Also 1 fact though is, on June 14th, or the 15th, the same locomotive same by and it is UP 7000, and somehow before this happened, it used to be in a wreck before this one this year after a bit of months later that it had to happen, which June 14th or the 15th, it hit a semi in Idaho state I believe happened before another accident again with the same Locomotive I seen, before happening again but in Texas, and it did had the same damage on the front railings, that was from again from before another accident happened?
The Railroads hit every kind of vehicle imaginable and the engines usually do a number on trucks or anything,GE and EMD are built tough and even have anti climbers incase of a head on,some locomotives weighing 200+ to up 250 tons fully fueld up!🛤🚂
