Had do do a double take, saw Norfolk and thought you might be off the Virginia capes on this beautiful sunny day. Now I realize you're on the other side of the Atlantic. Doesn't matter, water's wet everywhere. Have a great day Captain, along with your able crew.
Our family had a Turbo 36, really enjoyed her. Although we did learn do not let the old bloke with the Degree in Engineering mess with the sternglands. He tightened them up because they were dripping water... Carbonised packing anyone?
Lucky it was only ruined packing as that can wear a groove into the shaft, and then it'll never seal up again. They are very nice boats. There are some more videos planned for that one in the not to distant future. Thanks for watching.
Really enjoyed this episode G&T is just down the marina from us! I am guessing the overheat would be either the cooling system needing a flush or impellor - easy way to check is feel the housing of course, if hot, and coolant in the system, then knackered impellor, if still cold, normally needs a good flush through!
Are you referring to G&T or to my boat? My boat will but only because its been retro fitted with a folding screen. I think you would be lucky to get G&T under the Yarmouth bridges let alone Ludham. 😁
Have you soured the problem of the over heating? Seams a lot of steam coming from the exhaust. The spray bar in the exhaust could be blocked or a lazy impeller or a clogged heat exchange? If the turbos aren't spinning fully it might be worth an engine oil flush and change of oil. River cruising does big diesels no good.
Hi. Haven't even started looking yet. It only over heats at WOT. If you ran it at 90% it's fine so to start with it'll probably be an impeller change and then maybe clean the heat exchanger. The turbo's started to come alive after a few runs but we couldn't sustain a long enough run because of the overheat issue. More to come ;-)

Thank you and thanks for watching 👍

Hi. Thanks for watching. I think it's going to get new impellers and a flush on both engines as a matter of course and go from there.
Mike! Will that fit under Ludham bridge???
