  • I went to San Francisco recently for a work trip. While I was there, I had the chance to visit some of my favorite men's clothing stores, including: Cotton Sheep, Modern Appealing Clothing (MAC), 45R, and Evan Kinori.
    Thanks for watching!

The EK pieces you styled and the store are so nice. The manager there got a fit off too. On the last section, I remember my lead at my last tech internship wore head to toe Visvim to meetings with me and blazers with literally everyone else so that was pretty sick

The Evan Kinori associate *almost* convinced me to shave my head and wear an oversized tshirt tucked in. Also, sounds like your old boss deserves a promotion. What a legend!

funny story about cotton sheep - i got blacklisted from their store for "showrooming" some pieces that i eventually bought at the jp kapital stores a few months later. never heard of that term until i asked some friends about it. bummer, but i have and always will proxy straight from their webstore.
lesson learned, i think it's worth supporting if you have the means. iirc they were the first US retailer of kapital and have a strong familial relationship with the hirata's so that's some cool store history.

I’m cracking up thinking they have a folder of saved Instagram profiles with people that bought pieces they tried on from other stores. What a weird business practice. 🙅‍♂️🥸

Yo another solid place is Chamelon Vintage in Japantown. I got Visvim tee there for $50. Best black t-shirt I've ever purchased. So lux feeling

Didn't realize you had a Kathmandu shirt. That's a grail for me. Basically perfect patchwork shirt

It’s not mine, just trying on. It was nice, very wide fit (I think it was Size 3 (M)).

@@Indigololz ahh shows how well I pay attention. Didn't realize many places had them in stock, I should make sure to go to Cotton Sheep next time I'm in Hayes Valley and check it out in person. Always been concerned about sizing because who the fuck knows with Japanese brands 🤷

Yeah, cool store if you’re in the area. There were a few other things I wanted to try but they were sold out in my size :(
