One of my first projectors was a aaxa. In 2015 i got the this cube like little thing with a 720p native resolution. It was nice, but only a micro HDMI was in there. To add a firetv stick was not that nice with a adapter at all. But since this, i always think good about this brand. The technology here is interesting. LcoS seems to produce a very clear picture. In your video the contrast is too high, but the overall picture quality looks really good. And wow, this throw ratio is awesome. Seems it be the first projector which truly can stand on the couchs table in the living room... I'm really think about to purchase it....
Thank you for the detailed review. I intend to buy this product. I have just one question though. Does this device supports HDR/HDR10? If yes then how does it perform with HDR/HDR10 content. I am asking this question because this device hardly has 200 ANSI lumens of brightness.
It doesn't seem to have HDR support. The projector has 450 LED lumens brightness. I don't know how much is it in ANSI, but I think it is more than 200 ANSI.
A reviewer on Amazon noted that the projector had a blue tint, and that they were unable to adjust the colors to compensate. I notice the same blue tint in your video, but it looks like there is a color adjustment menu? I was wondering, could share your impressions regarding that-if the “blue tint“ was also something you noticed IRL, and if you were able to adjust the picture to compensate for it? Thank you for the thorough review! There aren’t many reviews out there for this projector, so this has been super helpful.
Yes, the image has a blue tint. I think it's because of the Silicon Liquid Crystal technology. You can adjust the color temperature, but it won't change the image much.
@@TechBrothersReviews I bet it's because they use cool temperature RGB to achieve more brightness. Cheap and stupid trick (that many Chinese brands use) may harm your eyes.
According to your test with the cellphone, the SLC450 has blueish\cool colors. Bad. It's really bad if you planning to use it as monitor many hours per day. I dont understand why the do that.
It depends on what you need from a projector: portability, built-in battery, better image quality, daylight use, smart operating system, and many other factors.

I also like the AAXA projectors. They're doing something innovative.
I have a problem with the focus, my image is so blurry, how can i fix?
The projector has a focus adjustment wheel on the side. Just twist it around and focus the image.

As you can see it's really "cool" temperature. When it goes so far you cant compensate it by settings. Only by a physical filter.

very detailed and quality review
Thank you very much!
Does this projector reduce fan noise if you select the eco mode?
In Eco mode, the noise is less, but not by much - only a few dB.
looks like a good projector if you have limited space
Yes, it really is. It makes a huge screen in a short distance.
According to your test with the cellphone, the SLC450 has blueish\cool colors. Bad. It's really bad if you planning to use it as monitor many hours per day. I dont understand why the do that.
I have never heard of SLC technology. Does it use a 3LCD chip?
I think so.
Does the noise bother you a lot?
No, the noise doesn't bother me.
Too bad there's no built-in battery. Can it be turned on with a power bank?
You won't be able to turn it on with a powerbank because it has a DC power adapter, but no USB C port.
Suggest me best projector

Oof, Best Buy really misrepresenting the fan noise on this @30dB.
Yeah, it's definitely not 30 dB. Although maybe from some distance it will be 30dB, but up close it's definitely not.
