Buck Meek is an intrinsic part of this wonderful band - hope he doesn't leave.
When you have a really good song like this, not much can go wrong and it didn't. May be different - vive la difference.
Big thief records are recorded extremely well, lush and full. It will cost a fair amount of money to get the live performance to match the magic of the recordings. I saw this with the war on drugs. It takes time to get it there. I hope it happens for Big thief because the records are extraordinary sounding.
This one is the mix. Check out the SXSW videos. They are excellent, personally I like them better than the record due to the ragged emotion.

These people are probably my favorite musicians I've discovered in a very long time. Although, I do understand the comments. This is the first time I've heard Buck & Adrianne's voices not complimenting one another's. I think it was a mixture of the levels and that they were both singing the melody. A & B sides prob. my favorite albums of all time... there you will hear that their voices were truly made for one another.

Come on, now. "above reproach". He's a good musician, but he shouldn't sing. Not that loud, at least. This is the best live version of the song, by the way. In the other clips I've watched his singing is even more obtrusive.

Mike Cook I actually saw them very recently and it was much better then any video of them. But man do they have some clashing stage presence in these videos.
