2019 and I remember when this show aired and when I heard this song, I memorized it from playing it a million times to the point that I sing in randomly from time to time, tonight I played it for the first time in a few years and when I hear it brings me back to the first time I heard it, I was 16-17 years old in high school. I love the passion and the instrumentals in the background. It’s truly nothing like it. It gives my nyc Broadway 🎭 vibes and I love it!!!
I miss this show! This was so much fun to watch and cool to have a musical series like this, sad it was cancelled but hey at least I can say I was alive for such a cool show as this!!
if it was on FOX it would have never been cancelled but they already had glee which was still a big hit during SMASH now for the last 2 seasons its been getting under 2 million viewers each week and still not cancelled yet its just gonna end because ryan murphy saids so lol FOX doesn't give a crap what ratings are if they make it to 2 or 3 seasons while NBC/ABC/CBS cancel first drop of ratings...

Loved the finale!! When the director was zipping up Karen's giving her that lil speech then ends with, "And Karen you're wrong. I do know love." .... I shed one there gotta admit lol
End of October 2017. They did say they were going on Broadway with it and they said that was final, but it's been a couple of years and I haven't heard anything else. Everybody is spread far and wide now - just like Downton Abbey. They keep saying they're making a movie but they would have to send out a dragnet to get all the stars back.

I don't understand why there's a competition between Katharine and Megan's characters.. there's no comparison. Katharine sings EVERYTHING like she's still on fucking American Idol, whereas Megan is legitimately Broadway. So sick of having to listen to Katharine MacPhee's voice because it's just sooo wrong.

What pissed me off about the finale, is how blatantly horrible Derek treats Ivy. Not two episodes ago, he said he loved her. Without commitment, but it still came out. Not to mention, they genuinely seemed to be in a real relationship, even after she had to leave the show because of her mistake in Heaven on Earth. And then he was seeing visions of Karen, zipping up her dress and whispering about love... No wonder Ivy's so damaged, people keep fucking her up left and right.
I was actually surprised that they just randomly showed him with a girl in bed, cause he was giving off gay vibes the entire time, not just when he was trying to seduce that producer guy!
