  • New cars have become extremely expensive in the last few years leaving a lot of consumers to feel like a brand new vehicle is out of reach. Thankfully, the latest #NissanVersa is still one of the most affordable brand new cars on the market. #Nissan has made some updates for 2023 and the #VersaSR is an economy sub-compact car that doesn't feel inexpensive.

I helped my daughter pick this car for her first vehicle. She didn't care about anything other than the cost. (she is not a "car person") To me, it seemed reasonably equipped for its price point, somewhat reliable and cheap to operate. She has all the safety features she can use and a new car with warranty in case anything goes wrong with it. Not everyone is looking for 0-60 times or slalom times, as a matter of fact I'd say most people just want something that will do the daily commute efficiently, safely and at minimal cost to them.

It may not be exciting but its nice to see a low cost NEW vehicle on the market

Thank you so much Sofyan for reviewing affordable cars as well! Many of us Americans are struggling financially and we desperately need more affordable new cars! As an low income working class American who needs an affordable new fuel efficient car under warranty, the Nissan Versa is definitely on my list!

0-60 in versa? Are you serious? Versa buyers do not care ab 0-60, they are buying versa to go from point A to point B

$23k for this new is a bargain in 2023. Everything is expensive right now, at least in CA

TBH the Versa meets most peoples need. I'd take a port-injected, naturally aspirated I4 over direct-injected, turbo I3. Too bad about the Xtronic CVT. Thanks Sofyan! Hope the Versa is a sales success.

Wow, Nissan really does add on the creature comforts! For $16K starting, a multimedia screen, heated seats- and a new car😊- it's pretty incredible. Especially since a lot of used cars aren't priced this low. Thanks for this overview, excellent review as always!

Versa's can be hard to find for this very reason and I think many people end up spending a bit more on a Sentra. When money is tight, jumping up to a Crosstrek or something isn't an option, forcing people into the used market which has it's own issues.

Kudos to Nissan for offering something that is still affordable. Basic transportation is still needed in many scenarios.

I just recently bought my first Versa.

Thank God Nissan keeps this car going. Manu people can’t afford a new car and the fact that you can get a brand new car that has apple car play and power everything and it be in the $300 month range is a blessing. The Corolla used to be an amazing option but are no longer under $20k. Versa SV is the best option. We need more affordable cars like this!!!

Sure this car is not powerful, but it meets most people’s needs, and it is a very light car so it actually feels peppy for just normal driving situations. Also 32 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway is excellent. People will be saving a lot of money with this car in terms of fuel costs. Also i love with how simple this car is in the inside. Nothing fancy and it will be very easy to use for pretty much anyone. It’s nice that Nissan still offers a subcompact sedan since there aren’t that many options in this class anymore.

It's amazing how much you can get for your money in a vehicle.

I had a 2015 Versa Note and we loved it. Great gas mileage and very reliable. This will be one I’ll look into for my daughter. Who wants only a car for getting from a to b. Which is perfect

With all the very expensive cars you review,...I'm glad to see you also do these very inexpensive cars for those who can't afford much. As

I love these affordable, basic vehicles. I drove my 2000 Mazda Protege for 17 years (until it was T-boned and totalled). It had 1.8L engine, 122 hp and around the same torque. I never felt like it lacked power since I mostly drove it in the city. On the highway, it had no problem getting up to speed or staying with the traffic. I loved the comfort of the interior, the seats were comfy. It looked absolutely lux compared to a lot of cars now (new cars have way more plastic all over inside). Gas mileage wasn't great compared to vehicles from today. Miss that car.

  • @JoyMahendru

This vehicle is extremely popular in Dubai, UAE. The majority of people own either a Toyota Yaris or a Sunny (VERSA), particularly those who primarily use cars for city purposes. And honestly, it is a good vehicle considering its price point. You get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, air conditioning, two charging ports, and good mileage, even if it's not a hybrid. Most buyers of this car are individuals who use it solely for commuting to work, and it fulfills this purpose well, especially considering its compatibility with cheap fuel.

  • @musicman12347

It’s honestly refreshing to see a review on an economy car like this. It gives a good insight on how far these things are coming along.

One of my first cars back in the '60's was a Mercury Comet (the Mercury version of the Ford Falcon) with an 85 HP 6 cylinder engine that required a whoppin' 20 seconds to reach 60. The 2-speed automatic contributed to the car's sloth. We've come a long way when today's slowest cars take half the time to reach 60. I also had a 64 Malibu SS 283 V8, also with a crappy 2-speed automatic. It was blazingly fast compared with the Comet but 3 seconds slower than the Versa in this review.
