  • Ed Kashi has spent 40 years on the edge of life, in some of the most deadly and polluted places in the world.
Committed to social justice and the power of images to transform opinions, he shares with us some of his most powerful photographs from Nigeria, Iraq and Nicaragua. He is a member of the prestigious Vii Photographic Agency.
    -
In this series, VICE interviews photographers whose photos have become synonymous with important world events. The photographers relive the story behind the photos, telling their tales from the front line of battlefields and hospitals, and reflecting on their journey to becoming a photographer. We hear how they sought out to document the truth, even risking their lives, to provide proof of events that stay long after the memories fade.

I really liked it but about half of it does not mention Nigeria or involve the pirates and the info about them was not too detailed or in depth

If we viewers who really like raw and real jornalism we need to keep vice alive and legit as it always been. We all know theres no journalism comparable with what vice brought to us and their reporters are real super humans who travel overseas to the most dangerous places. Its sad to know vice is about to go bankcrupcy. There should be a way to contribute monthly

If they dropped their absolutely despicable domestic reporting they probably could find an investor to keep the brand alive but unfortunately, their name has been tarnished from years of shameless garbage that brings down the international journalism with it.

It's sad enough that they destroy the environment, but the locals getting none of the profits, on top of that, is really disgusting.
And then the starvation and disease and death. This has got to really take its toll on you.

This is easily one of the dumbest comments I’ve ever read. I mean the lack of naïveté on your part is unbelievable. Why the hell with the locals get the profits? Has the world EVER worked that way? Human beings are not far off from the rest of the animal, kingdom, with groups, conquering, vanquishing, and robbing from each other. Cut a virtue signaling nonsense because it’s not a good luck. Just shows how bereft of common sense you are.
