I have often reviewed short works as part of my examination of story collections; however, I like the idea of picking out brief tales for deeper analysis in the future.
Something I forgot to mention in the review was that I've only ever read Wells' more fantastical short stories, e.g., A Moonlight Fable. Wells is obviously primarily a sci-fi writer, but he's strong when it comes to Weird/magical realist narratives.

New background looks really good! Great review.
I read it the other day, I was very impressed. It did have a quality of impressions of memory & dream.
