FYI: The driver who had a flat tire was aware of the fact. Lucky for him the shop is in the same yard as the transfer station so he was able to get it fixed right away. Thanks for watching

Thanks for sharing these videos! I don’t know why it’s so fascinating to see these. It boggles my mind that this much garbage gets dumped daily. And yes- I always did wonder what happened to the garbage after it was picked up.

Why is it that some trucks dump in the pit and others dump on the floor? it seems to me like it would just be easier for all the trucks to dump in the pit.
Basically the TS worker only need about 58,000 pounds in the trailer. So if it’s close to being full and only needs say 8k more he will have the driver open the tail gate, let that trash fall in. Then the drive will pull forward to dump the rest on the floor. Thanks for watching!
No salvaging or scavenging sign bugs me. The last place I worked at had the same rule. If you got caught removing anything from the bin it was a fire able offense! I call BS! The way I see it if someone finds something they can use or needs, let 'em have it. Benefits the person and that's just one more thing NOT going into the land fill.

Same here.I HATE the no scavenging signs too!.It’s for safety purposes because these places can be very dangerous if you’re not alert because of moving equipment.Luckily i work in a place that doesn’t have those.Businesses discard ridiculous amounts of merchandise.I see it all the time.You’d be surprised.
It’s for safety. I work in the industry and it’s kinda hard to explain why I ran Carl over. Oh he say this great desk and thought he could save it. No keep your butt in your truck dump your load and get out. And as for landfills there going extinct. Most trash is burned and turned into clean energy

Whilst this is only part of the trash journey it would have been very nice to include the complete cycle . People now think that this is where all their trash goes and no where else.
Very interesting videos I've been watching I'd like them all but I do have one question we know where the trash is picked up we know where it's dumped out into that truck but I've yet to find a video of where the truck goes after it's full
Thanks for watching im glad you have been liking the videos! After the trail is full it gets hauled off to the landfill to be dumped. Unfortunately, I do not have the same access to the landfill as I do to this transfer station.

Lol. True it is getting harder. I try to find themes while I’m filing and editing the videos. Like I have one about the smelly wet loads and it’s all the nasty ones I have filmed. Ect. But yeah I might need to start thinking about how to change it up. Any suggestions?

Oh man yes! Most times it’s not that terrible. There are some loads that the smell could knock a buzzard off a shit wagon!

Hello. It all depends on the truck that you’re in and also the route you’re on. I would say the majority of the routes are one load. Meaning they can fit their whole route on and only dump once. There are a few days that need to be dumped twice but the second load is a lot smaller. one load of garbage is usually around 830 to maybe 900 stops.

wonder if they can still dump if it snows lol by me the MRF takes recycle trash public recycling in back yard waste construction debris my city trash goes to landfill cause city has contract to dump there unless we get the santa anna winds here in CA then they dump at the MRF

Not sure. That’s a great question though. I found that a lot of people just get confused with it all or they just don’t care.
Nah they just don’t care. Recycling is as simple as 1 2 3. I recycle about close to 30 recyclables every week for about seven months straight.
That’s like where my dad works at republic. He drives front loader when he had his cardboard route they would tell him not to mix it with trash. But after dumping out see them pushing it and mixing it at the transfer station

Yes he was aware. The shop is at the same location so he was able to get it fixed as soon as he dumped.
