the point of the 'pinky ring' is to put your pinky in it......not on it......it helps told it

The point of the pinky "crook" is to sit your pinky on. Honestly most experienced players let their pinky float. Placing your pinky in the crook can hinder the movement of your ring finger not allowing it to move quickly.
