I have to agree with what you say, it's not just because they are all brilliant musicians but they have such a great chemistry so they always look to be having a blast which I think adds to their performances. I don't think I have ever watched them and not been left with a smile on my face.
Ikusa (war) from their 2nd album "Yasou Emaki" 2015. written by Asa. Hakushu Kassai (aplause) written by Kurona. I can only find it on the album "Kiseki Best Collection +" 2017. The shakuhachi flute that Daisuke Kaminaga plays is very difficult, not an unusual comment after practicing for a month "I got a clear tone"
The 2018 Dai Shinnenkai is magic. It's my favorite show from them. Every song is perfection, every member of the band is great, the production values are high, and the crowd is hot throughout the entire show. Even the stage is awesome. The instrument at 3:11 that you say must be so hard to play is called a koto. There's a few variations of it, and it's the national instrument of Japan. The instrument at 7:11 is the shamisen, specifically the tsugaru shamisen. If I may make a couple of suggestions for your next WGB reaction, I'm going to recommend a couple of songs from their show at Heian Jingu, a shrine in Tokyo. The first is called "Yoshiwara Lament" and was written by Asa, the bass guitarist, before he joined WGB. The second is called "Toono monogatari: Kyuuyon," I think, and it's so much a song as it is a visual performance with music, but it's highly entertaining and shows a side of WGB you haven't seen yet. The japanese guitar or banjo is called Shamisen. The flute, Shakuhatchi. The percussion, Taiko (see Kodo group, root folk music). The japanese zither is called Koto.
I am happy to see so many reactors jumping on Wagakki Band lately. Yeah... they are AMAZING!

They always bring a sense of fun and joy along with their superb musicianship and original style.

Heian Jinguu is in Kyoto, not in Tokyo.
