Pile of carbon Me too, it would be entertaining and interesting to come out and watch. Only neighbors that annoy me are the ones that use Pesticides in their garden.
Sohave Totally! Saturday afternoon, barbecue... making (non-)aerodynamic things fly, testing how many kN of thrust the neighbourhood can collectively put out. Sounds like a good day to me. =P And yea, pesticides kinda suck.
FPSPhilippines No, as I fly model jets turbines we almost all use FOD screens. Thats the mesh screen thats in fron tof the intake to protect the compressor from foreign objects from getting sucked in. As for the full size aircraft counterparts they do not use them and that allows things to be injested in the engine.
Also, insects like flies are soft, they won’t even dent any parts (may scratch though), and definitely won’t damage the engine (it will quickly burn up the bug).
How much does this engine weight, and how much thrust does this engine produce? I'm looking for a small lightweight (10kg~15kg) engine that produces 90kg~150kg of thrust... more or less. I'm open to almost any kind of engine: 2-stroke, 4-stroke, rotary/wankel, turbojet or other. Thanks!
I think in the manual it recommends a 5% oil mixture, so I've been running it on that. I use jet a1 fuel because I can easily get it with my job, but these little engines can run on straight diesel if you want
the electric motor on the front of the engine is used the spool the Rhine up to around 3000rpm for start. once the engine ignites and keeps getting faster, the auto start system will shut the starter motor off, as it is no longer required
I love how you bought this just to put it on a mount and burn stuff! I wish I had the money to do the same! I would build one myself but I just don't have the tools.
Most of this RC stuff takes a lot of money :). Better yet puu one vertical on a racing quad. You could have a little extra forward motion when you need it >:).
so, is the electric starter on that thing physically connected with the shaft? could you harvest power off of it while running or does it mechanically disengage once the jet passes a certain RPM?
It's not physically connected. once the starter spins, it moves a connector forward and engages the engine shaft after a certain rpm. There is no connection, just centrifugal force to make the connection between starter and engine shaft.
No because it would be forcing super hot air into the engine, Turbochargers and turbine jet engines are very different things, the main difference being that a turbocharger doesn't have a combustion chamber
What does the engine (& onboard components) weigh, and how much fuel does it burn? Another vid with a similar looking engine said ~14 fl oz per min - is that about right? Thanks!
I've got the engine mounted on a home made plywood test bench. On the grass it won't push along the ground, but if its on smooth cement it certainly wants to move forward. I only go to half thrust in the video so I don't piss the neighbours off... Whoops too late. If the test bench had wheels it would definitely move forward at idle. I'm gonna put another vid up soon going into more detail about how i set up the engine
I was gonna ask a stupid question like, if it's producing thrust why isn't it moving the thing its mounted, but I think it's because the amount of thrust needs to be way more than the weight of what it's mounted to. Please tell me if I'm right.
Amazing the power in a tomato can sized jet engine has. I saw them flying at a local RC plane show. Made the piston engine planes look like they were in slow motion
Ho firdous371, you can buy this engine from a kingtech seller online closest to your country. It is a K80f full Auto start engine. No gas start required. On Australia, these engines are about 2000au at the moment. hope this helps
Can anyone tell me if 4 would be able to hold about 30kg in midair at a stable rate so it won't keep going up and down? I really would like to try something and I could use this info if anyone knows....
really cool jet engines on rc scale. How easy would it be to make it into A bomb??Not to take the joy out of it. But has anyone really thought about it?
Haider Zulfiqar 1500$ but the problem is:- you need really fat pockets to fly those babies because they guzzle fuel like there's no tomorrow. And after 25 hours of flying you need to send them back for 300$ maintenance.
😖 Sir can you tell me the price of t45 goshawk rc plane with complete assessories to fly it as it is an electric plane and i am asking you because i need it. but in my country people are telling me different prices. I will be waiting for your reply Thanks for your corporation.
***** It was for the comedic effect seeing that a lot of people have used that before on the internet. It's not to be over thought and taken literally, but I shouldn't have expected anything more from the RUclips comment section...
a large smile grew upon my face as the engine's scream got louder....
Really neat. Sounds exactly like a full size jet engine.
But can it melt steel beams?
Joshua Powell lol well played
Joshua Powell it can melt the money in our pockets though
your neighbors must really love you haha
I'd be totally ok with having this guy as my neighbour... as long as I got a copy of the blueprints.
Then we could have a jet-off. >=)

If a bird strike can bring down a modern jet liner, can an insect strike bring down an rc jet?
as the rc jet is very small it is more stable
Humbly I guess " No " ...

Great! A turbine on a table to blow the bush. Your bush has to love you. ;)

about $1600-$1800 Australian dollars
where can i buy it?
Turbine Daddy Where are the 3D printed plans for it?
+Turbine Daddy Do you know any club or group to join about engines or aeromodelling here in Australia. I have been always interested.
__a I'm not sure of any clubs in Australia. GTBA in the UK have a website that has design plans and info for home builders if that helps.
jet engines are just too cool
I think in the manual it recommends a 5% oil mixture, so I've been running it on that. I use jet a1 fuel because I can easily get it with my job, but these little engines can run on straight diesel if you want
the bearings are brand new and this sound is perfectly fine, the rear turbine has marks on it because it has been balanced
140000 rpm around full throttle
+Turbine Daddy I don't think you understand how much 140000 rpm is.
+Mr4ndre55 Enlighten me??
Turbine Daddy it wouldn't hold together past 20,000rpm.
+Mr4ndre55 It won't idle below 45000 RPM. These engines operate at very high RPM and hold together fine.
hey dude
the electric motor on the front of the engine is used the spool the Rhine up to around 3000rpm for start. once the engine ignites and keeps getting faster, the auto start system will shut the starter motor off, as it is no longer required

O_o I'd like to see you make a quadcopter outov 4 of those, or are they too heavy for Vertical lift?
It would work but it would take some engineering and money
Most of this RC stuff takes a lot of money :).
Better yet puu one vertical on a racing quad. You could have a little extra forward motion when you need it >:).
George hanes it would take way to long to power up and down to be a racing quad.
Hahaha, unless you cheated and made a VTOL, I do see the problem now xD

Boy! That makes one fine leaf blower! Just mount it on a cart or hand truck and take care of the yard in a jiffy!
Good Looking Jet Engine.
Would it be practical to use as a 'turbo charge' for car?
No because it would be forcing super hot air into the engine,
Turbochargers and turbine jet engines are very different things, the main difference being that a turbocharger doesn't have a combustion chamber
.....................................................................................
good afternoon brother apology, which glow plug voltage used .. and need to run the same

Which fuel are you using?????????
can u please the share diy steps so that i can do it inn my backyard. or even the detailed aspect of the bearings, fuel injectors. etc
I've got the engine mounted on a home made plywood test bench. On the grass it won't push along the ground, but if its on smooth cement it certainly wants to move forward. great little jet engine, will it fit on my 70 Camaro so I can get to work on time
I was gonna ask a stupid question like, if it's producing thrust why isn't it moving the thing its mounted, but I think it's because the amount of thrust needs to be way more than the weight of what it's mounted to. Please tell me if I'm right.
How many would we need to gert a 145 lb person off the ground and in full flight?
is two of that engine would capable to fly a hand-crafted basic plane?
This is the most beautiful turbine I ever seen!!
How did you build this such that it doesn't blow apart at full throttle?
Its a kit i think...
Timothy Scott Brother please if you know how can I get these drivers and Czech Iago answer
did you take an ATC clearance before take-off?
This makes me want to get into the hobby. That's badass.
Amazing the power in a tomato can sized jet engine has. I saw them flying at a local RC plane show. Made the piston engine planes look like they were in slow motion

What fuel does it use?
Holy hell that's a lot of thrust.
Can anyone tell me if 4 would be able to hold about 30kg in midair at a stable rate so it won't keep going up and down? I really would like to try something and I could use this info if anyone knows....
where can i get a complite set up and ready to run engine like this?
how many pounds of thrust do these engines produce?
This engine produces around 8kg or roughly 18lbs of thrust at 145000 RPM.
+Turbine Daddy twice as heavy at half throttle
+Turbine Daddy
18 hp at 350 knots. Impressive.
can you please explain what 18 lbs of thrust means.....is it one engine is needed to lift a model aircraft weighing 18 lbs...thank you
what causes the initial spin on a mini jet engine?
How many RPM does the turbine get up to at maximum throttle?
How many ml (or fl) of fuel it burns per minute?
why does it sound like it has bad bearings at low rpm.. and why is the hub torn up at the very nd of the video
근데 이런 소형제트엔진 영상볼때마다.궁금한건데 왜 저엔진은 앞으로 안튕겨져나가는거임??
저정도크기로는 출력이 부족한부분임?? 원리만 보여줄려고 만든건감..
how much weight would it be able to lift?
How much for this type rc jet? I from malaysia, where can I get it?
well you would have to check pounds of thrust right?
It consumes whole bottle of fuels in 5 minutes??
Mini engine I did, but I can not mivakhtsie normal force, what fuels me if you can use
hello : good job,
Is that it works for jet engine gas and gasoline or kerosene ???
What are you getting for the thrust output?
Hi. Could someone tell what cost? where they are sold? Or telephone contact. And as you can buy from another country? Thank you. Cheers
its 1700$ from Where the guy lives, Australia
What is the fuel used in the engine?
can anyone please tell me which motor has been use in this engen
How much does one of these setups cost?
+CHOPPERGIRL AIRWAR about $1600 -$1800 au dollars
+Turbine Daddy Ouch yeah... it'd take 4 of them to get my VJ-24w ultralight off the ground...
Jet engine ke liye Apne ye moter kaise build ki hai
what the price for this engine???................where we get
its 1700$ Dollars
What electric motor are you using?
where I can get the plans for Asher one
How much are those and where do you buy them online?
When your name has minecraft in it i suppose your a kid, that will be 1700$ out your mums credit card :)
Sir where I buy these engine and Sir what is the cost of this engine
what make this engine start rotating ?
Electric motor... maybe.
Brandon Waltz it will be= =
really cool jet engines on rc scale. How easy would it be to make it into A bomb??Not to take the joy out of it. But has anyone really thought about it?
the sound of that thing slowing down is epic
I want to have a machine like that, how can I obtain them, if I could order you, thank you.
Where you buy this model jet?
Will it blend?
how much cost for this jr propo?
how I can buy like this jet ... from uae ?
What is this engine used for?
What do yo got against bushes?
Where did u buy that and how much is it (I need one bad)
I would check out the king tech website for full
can i install it on the tail of my bike to increase top speed? i'm serious btw
is it self sustaining
The bearings are brand new. This engine has less than one hour of run time on it.
How come it doesn't move the table away ???
Because it has a weight on it or he doesn't go full thrust
does it realy reach 140000 rpm? can i have the schematics?
hi norto.......i am from india..and i want to buy this...plz help me ..plz tell me how i buy this...plz reply
is there no cheap one out there to buy 1500 is a bit too much for me?
Just made an afterburner for this engine. Video will be online shortly!!!!!
what is its price ? in dollar plz tell me if anyone knows
Haider Zulfiqar
1500$ but the problem is:- you need really fat pockets to fly those babies because they guzzle fuel like there's no tomorrow. And after 25 hours of flying you need to send them back for 300$ maintenance.

how much one like this can cost
Where can I buy one of these ? Can any one tell me?
where can buy this engine??
how did you built it ??
where can i get one of those plz nice vid though!!!!!
I have the same remote controller as you have, JR Graupner!
RIP headphone users
..Except the ones who didn't turn the volume all they way up.

Don't worry, we all know about that joke.
I wasn't against it anyway :)
IBANEZfil All good dude, I was talking to that fool ;p
***** Ain't that an understatement. xD
How much for its max rpm....
Does this jet engine require an electric fuel pump??? ANYONE
at idle it runs at about 45000, at full throttle about 140000rpm. I think
Why doesn't that thing fly off the table, it doesn't look to be fastened down very securely!
Can i use it as a jetpack?
specs on engine weight and fuel consumption.
how mutch was all?
How did you do that
How's the spec?
wat makes the compressers to turn
thats interesting, from did you bay that?\\
