I've had my locs for 23 years now, since I was a little girl. I've tugged and pulled and damaged my hair trying to do something different but I was talked into realizing that locs are supposed to be simple. If we treat them like they're supposed to be treated, we'll have healthy, low maintenance, beautiful hair with all of our edges LOL. I recently colored my entire head red when I was looking for something new and it turned out amazing, i've colored it black, I did a skunk stripe in the back before, I've tried new styles but, my favorite thing to do with my hair when I get tired of it is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I literally just throw my hair up and call it a day. Sometimes the most i'll do is wash it and moisturize it. No retwist, just vibes. My unsolicited advice is, make sure not to look at what everyone else is doing or able to do with their hair. A lot of people have thin, dry, messed up hair with no edges from trying to keep up with the trends. You're beautiful and so are your locs. If you need new loc styles, pinterest has the most inspo.

I really feel right now the trend of everyone combining their locs out is making some of us locd girlies antsy like we need to change it up then I remember why I locd my hair this shall past too...I hear you tho sis cause I want to do a blonde look so bad. I just cut my locs at first I was chasing length now I'm like let's cut it into a cute style.

I remember when I cut my dreads after 7 years, i was still walking with my head tilted back because my head was use to the weight😂 but i definitely felt the same way before I cut them, it was time for a change and personally the dreads was apart of a portion of my life that I did not want to revisit. I still have my dreads in a ziplock though, since 2019 lol.

girlll i’ve been going through the same feeling. i’m so conflicted on whether or not i wanna keep them or start over & go back to natural girlie for a while. i love my locs but i feel like ive had to keep messing with them to the way i would want it & i just thought it would make sense to restart in the exact way i would want. it’s rough out here😭
Hmm 🤔. Thats a good question. I would say to maybe create a routine for refreshening your locs. You could try using Rosewater to hydrate and a natural oil blend (that smells good) to moisturize.
