Sonnax testing! Shows! Done talking! Excellent video A- 1 shaft
Great test and this is why I don't buy parts off EBay or Amazon 👍🏻 I'd always rather pay the premium for authentic parts from a licensed distributor than save $100 and have to rip everything out to replace it with what I should have bought the first time around. Thanks for the video 👍🏻🍻
Exactly, so much better to do it right the first time! Thanks for the great feedback, Matt!
Hey Gregg ! I'm just about to install my shafts. I'm rockin' the shirts you sent. Thanks again, RC, out in Santa Rosa, Ca.
Love to see the same video for the 4L60E Input shaft
I cannot imagine this video getting any thumbs down. There’s not one thing to complain about here. This shaft is serious business!
Glad you enjoyed this video, William. As the video shows, we knew the shaft was serious business, but still managed to impress our own team with how tough it was!
Fantastic video. Very informative as my company sends shafts out to be tested but I never get to watch the action.
Thanks, Tony! It is definitely cool to see the action, so glad you enjoyed it!
What is stronger?
Aermet or this?
What allows more twist and still returns to original shape?
The Sonnax big shaft 22121B-08K is made of forged 300M steel and is the strongest input shaft available for 48RE.
All things being equal, properly processed Aermet 100 does have some advantages over 300M, however these advantages are incremental. The Sonnax shaft is .100” larger in diameter than conventional shafts, and this size difference contributes to a huge jump in strength versus any conventional diameter shaft.
So around 4500ftlb it twisted? How about with heat added?
