The Yamaha BB is one of the most underrated bass series out there. I have a BB425, and I remember the first time I played it... It just felt right, I loved the tone, playability, to the point it became my number 1. I can say that it's worth much more than what you pay for.
I get my BB 425 yesterday. I had a lot of work. As first the pick ups made many trouble with my hard pick. The playability is nice. It needs some time to find the right tunings. The sound is super for metal. I have some sharp frets. I think that is easy fixable. I decided to take an older model. It has more growl.
I owned BB435 at 2017. This bass can produce versatile sound and have good sustain, but it's neck to narrow for my big fingers, so i sell it and have good resale price
Игорь,доброго здоровья! По моему в этом обзоре есть небольшие несоответствия по моделям.В начале обзора на экран вывели 435,а протестировали 425.И по моему ещё где-то. А обзор конечно огонь!!!Спасибо!!!
Superb tone sir. What was the recording chain, eq setting, compression etc. Looking for a long time to get that burpy lowmid sound from the first sample.
Thank you for checking the video! This review is old, but I remember that I try to show the "true" sound of bass - and don't use any combo emulation or some LogicProX stuff. For this review I use compression for sure and maybe boost a little low frequency, that's all
Igor you have an amazing groove man! Could I ask how you recorded the bass? It is direct into logic, through a DI box or via an amplifier line out etc? Thank you.
John Weigel hello John, My serious bass playing is about 10 years, I don’t play solo and all that stuff, I like to groove, and I choose Yamaha BB Nathan East. someday I will buy it.
Great playing - and considering your style, it seems like you'd be playing flatwounds. I'd really love to hear the black one with some broken-in La Bellas or GHS Precision Wounds.
Great playing, but man what did you do with announcements? 1. BB 425 both pups 3. BB 424 both pups At first I thought you made a joke by playing different basses but recording the tone just from one. I had to listen to couple of times 😄
www.Marko thanks for checking my video, that’s not paid promotion video, I’m doing just for fun so it can content some bugs, hope next one would be right in all aspects
Excellent playing, but the demo would be a whole lot more useful if done in a style that allowed us to hear the notes and the bass. The Prestia staccato style is not conducive to learning a lot about how the bass sounds, sustains, etc.
That’s just my vision and there’s a lot of others reviews on RUclips. I never can play that way, to make all people happy about it. Thanks for the feedback
I agree, 23x and 43x feels almost the same except for the neck material, 73x is different in terms of sound (maybe not), because of the active electronics. I have a 434 and sold it because I'm getting a 435, I also have the trbx305, while it is a different model, it plays and feel the the same as the BB.
But when you do have the fingers, the basses absolutely matter. A great bass isn't going to make a bad player sound better but it will make a great player sound better.

I agree. Yamaha makes some pretty solid bass guitars that’s suitable for any genre. Including metal. \m/
Hello, you may the man I need! ha, do you possibly know the weight? I have my eye on a 425...
That red 235 sounded fantastic for what it costs. Buzz free and tight B.
Man that playing is amazing! I'm really impressed!

Congrats with new bass, and of course any instrument needs to be setup, and then the music comes
Awesome demo, Igor. \m/ I own the bb235 in a black finish and it sounds phenomenal.
Thank you for checking the review, appreciate that!
I got BB434, the same , black one :) Well , your playing is soo awesome, so strong, really brings out of this bass this meat !
Great vid and playing
publiuss thank you so much for checking my video and kind words! Appreciate that
Superb demo. Great playing. I fancy that 435 as I already have a pair of 4 strings.
Marcus Parnell thanks for checking video! Yes, I have some issues with that 😆
Fantastic playing. Love the Yamaha BB series.

Really nice playing! I have an older version of BB bass, thinking about buying the new one and getting back into playing
Mateusz Olek thanks for checking my video
Классно, очень фирмово звучат. Yamaha, классный бас🔥🔥🔥
Спасибо! Инструменты на свою цену - просто бомба 💣
I have just ordered the BB425 in black. I like the punch of the older model more. It is for finger style like Myung, Geddy Lee.
I must email to Yamaha with message “where’s my % from all deals” 😂 congrats with the new bass!

GLB Productions thanks for checking video, appreciate that! It’s sound card direct out + Logic + bass

Igor how long have you been playing? If you had to chose one of the BB which would you chose? Have you ever played a BB2024?

I love this one..!!
I fell asleep about an hour into this.
Are they standard size pickups with a surround ?
I don’t know, you can visit your local music store and check that out
The older BBs have a custom size
grooooove!!!!!!!

I'd really love to hear the black one with some broken-in La Bellas or GHS Precision Wounds.
allrequiredfields thanks for watching, I love that warm precision tone that gives flatwound strings

Which strings are you using on the BB235? I might pick one up tomorrow.
Strings that comes from the factory 🏭
Please do the review of BB P35
Unfortunately here in Ukraine we don't have it
The 235 is my teste...
were you playing the BB434 with stock strings or what kind of other strings?
Luigi Zanini stock strings
What is the lever on the bass for?
Excellent playing, but the demo would be a whole lot more useful if done in a style that allowed us to hear the notes and the bass. The Prestia staccato style is not conducive to learning a lot about how the bass sounds, sustains, etc.

Wwolll
Igor could you between the bb234 and bb434 is worth the price difference? Or the 234 is just fine
Rui Filipe Almeida 434 for more intermediate players , 234 is good for beginners
I will say any BB basses is not for beginners, even the entry level BB234/5 are super good gigabale, recordable basses.

Да, 425. Я в тайминге указал точные модели, там ещё где-то была ошибка
I purchased a BB434 but returned it because of bad quality.
Never ever i will buy an instrument made in Indonesia again!
I went with FGN Made In Japan
Sad to hear that, hope you’re gonna like new FGN
