Thank you Mike for teaching us about this awesome function. I watched and liked the whole series. You are really the best instructor of Excel. Learning Excel is really fun with you.
This aggregate function is awesome. It redefines the concept of array formulas Excel by the simplicity of big nasty but useful array formulas. I have enjoyed the whole 10 videos related to the topic. I am looking forward to the next one which hopefully would give us an overview of what is new in Excel. As always an outstanding video. To whom should I complain that DUELS are not aired any more? I do miss them since they were so challenging.
Too old video but excellent. Probably you will not answer back. I used a a multiplication of arrays - instead of a division, and using a formula to find the correct k - and used aggregate with 4 and not 6 and all seems to work ok when you F9 each component of the formula (calculates what I was expecting) but when you hit enter the formula is not working. Surprisingly when you hard code the k - instead of using a formula - all goes well. Any way thank you for all the aggregate and CSE videos, I found an new world your book also helped a lot. Thanks
Have you seen my playlist for Excel 2010? It has many videos with the new things in Excel 2010. Please complain to Bill Mr Excel Jelen. When he wants to start them up again - i will do it!! I will bug him about it too!
There is a video that instructs to find multiple conditions (2 or 3 or more conditions), returns many results shown on 1 column, or 1 row. I have only been able to do one condition detection now
Hi , when using this formula(aggregate )does it use less memory than combining the index , small and row to return multiple criteria . I usually get an error message "excel ran out of resources ... Formula weren't calculated correctly " . What do you recommend ?

How does one use AGGREGATE function where there is a 2-variable matrix with YEAR on horizontal axis, CAR TYPES in vertical axis and the data inside is the number of cars of a certain type which were sold in a given year. For example, how would I use AGGREGATE to calculate the total number of Ford vehicles sold between 2011 and 2016?
Can't get formula to copy across rows where I want data to display. row data comes from a different sheet. see =IF(ROWS(A$10:A10)>$D$7,"",INDEX(Plaintiff,AGGREGATE(15,6,(ROW(Plaintiff)-ROW(DCS_CASE_HISTORY!$A$2)+1)/((Case_Status=$B$7)*(Contract_Executed=$C$7)),ROWS(A$10:A10))))
