oh they met years ago. they went on a conan & friends comedy tour in 2018, together with taylor tomlinson. there's clips of them playing with american dolls.
Flula has been a fascinating addition to the Conan world/mythology. He kind of IS Conan, like a German Conan. Conan and Flula are a fascinating combination of people to watch. As witty as two Beatles.
If you look at Conan's head and Flula's head, they are basically almost the exact same head. Same square structure, with same small eyes, with same shaped nose. This is a glimpse into what Conan could have looked like, if he was born as a non ginger German man.
"he could see the excitement was too high for the meeting of a man." he says this like it's definitely not the first time in his life to have realized and said this about himself.
As awesome as Flula is credit must be given to Conan for his ability to keep everything moving forward and knowing when to jump in and when to let Flula run wild. It's a very specific skill set that not a lot of people have. No offense but can you imagine Jimmy Fallon trying to have a conversation like this with Mr. Borg....he would be absolutely lost
This episode has become my absolute favorite! Lol I love Conan and Flula! Also I feel like if you come to Atlanta and go to a popular spot you WILL meet Charles Barkley. Lmao I’ve met Charles and he is super chill. Lol

I guess it was also a joke along with Technotronic who are Belgian. They are both bands a German definitely have heard in the early 90's and both mimic the American music scene. So most of his favourite American music is not American music. It's insane to me how quick witted he is on a second language.
I love the idea that Flula imbibes cosmic, eldritch knowledge into the minds of those he speaks with, making them less intelligent, but also more aware of the secrets of the universe. It feels like he's starting his own cult of madness.
I’ve been lucky enough to work with him on some live shows and he’s an awesome human. Incredibly smart and very kind. His German accent is real, but he definitely dials it up for his character. He speaks perfect English outside of character.
