I wish you would show the pan and tilt speed and range. That’s a big feature you didn’t show

Great vid - really appreciate the breakdown. Even when you know about fixtures, it can be hard to get a proper demo of a fixture and its capabilities.

Awesome! I definitely plan to do more of these here and on the Learn Stage Lighting GEAR channel!

Did you notice that the gobos are really small compared to the full zoom? It looks like it’s cutting off maybe 50% of the overall beam

Hi, good Review as always. I have a question about focus spot 6z:
Can you combine ADJ focus spot 6z with r1x washes or would you rather use the r2x washes? Because the Focus spot 6Z is very bright compared to the r1x spot washer.
The stage where we want to use the lights is 5 meters high and 8.50 meters wide and 4 meters in depth.
And does the camera flicker when recording a video if the Focus spot 6Z does not light up at 100% brightness?

Hi David - to answer your questions - any light obviously can work with any other light. The 6Z is definitely more in the brightness category of the R2x Wash, so if you use the R1X's, you'll probably find that you keep them at their tightest zoom for most of the show to make them closer in brightness (and keep the Focus's wider to make them appear dimmer - but covering much more space!)
The Focus Spots are a good unit, and the 6Z's are flicker free. That being said, with any LED unit, you may occasionally see "Banding" which looks like waves across the light on some types of cameras at frame rates that are in sync with the LED refresh rate of the light. The easy solution there is to just change your camera's frame rate a little and it'll go away.
Hope that helps - and if you're in the US and we can help you get any lights, let us know at learnstagelightinggear.com

That said I as a "not pro" appreciate your efforts. I do think you shod focus on shows in the 300-500 people range

It's interesting, I also get comments asking for more pro level reviews. I do agree that the core audience I have is the mid-sized shows, but there are definitely people looking for lights of this size too. Everything on this channel is an experiment :). We put it out there, see how it goes, and do more of what is popular!

I run mid level stuff but I want the best lighting. My range is from 800-1600 for moving head wash/gobos. 4z’s would be a cheeper alternative to this.
