Taking my chameleon outside to soak up some sun. This improves Vitamin D synthesis and helps regulate body temperature and stimulate the chameleon in a natural environment.
A few things to note, the camera has a hard time focusing on the chameleon because their skin is super reflective. Also, the audio on my phone suuuuuucks. Thanks for coming to my ted talk
I have no friends other than this little guy. I like to pretend like he understands what I'm saying, but honestly he's like 2 brain cells above a single celled organism so probably not.
He knocks a few brain cells around in there sometimes. This one more than the others I've had seems to actually have a brain sometimes. He's very inquisitive and clingy. Always wants attention, which is REAL odd coming from a chameleon
@@TaylorShawn Yes all animals, like humans have different levels of intelligence but this one definitely wants to be with you, it’s so clear. He is so beautiful! Imagine being able to show your mood by changing yourself like that. Nature is so incredible, thank you for sharing, I love how well you take care of him, he is so lucky to have such a good owner.
Well, I was supposed to document the whole process, but covid kind of got in the way. There's a massive amount of time spent in front of him, and a lot of time petting branches in his enclosure.
Water. Goes through about 5 gallons a day. Crickets might be more expensive though. And all the various bug treats like born worms, soldier flies etc. It's a hell of a maintenance cost
Working on it, as soon as I get this hot tub out of here he's getting a 6x6 enclosure in the corner of my porch. For now, I gotta risk it for the vitamin D biscuit

What kind of chameleon is that?
@Taylor Shawn How do you get your chameleons to trust you this well?
Well, I was supposed to document the whole process, but covid kind of got in the way. There's a massive amount of time spent in front of him, and a lot of time petting branches in his enclosure.
你是一個很棒的主人
누가 한글 달았네.. 애매하게 이해될 거 같은 게 신기하네.. 잘 보고 갑니다
The blues on him i could never have guessed he was an ambilobe
He's 14th gen blue, they've been trying to get a pure blue ambilobe for a long time lol
What’s the most expensive part of having a chameleon?
Water. Goes through about 5 gallons a day. Crickets might be more expensive though. And all the various bug treats like born worms, soldier flies etc.
It's a hell of a maintenance cost
Where can I get one? I live in Texas
kammerflage kreations is where I got mine
Hello Taylor! How old is your chameleon now?
Heyooo. This little manchild will be 2 in November :)
Hey I just got a chameleon a week ago what age did yours get his color
He was pretty colorful around 4 months, but didn't settle into his adult clothes until maybe 8?
Is it just alternative color or a whole different breed with another name?
they come in every color but purple basically. this one is an Ambilobe, which are typically red, but he's 14th generation bred for the blue gene
@@TaylorShawn Got it, thanks
Why does the chameleon not on the ground does he run away?
A turtle runs faster, so no, it's just not safe down there. Bacteria, worms, bugs, snakes, etc.
@@TaylorShawn but doesnt help mimicing his natural wildlife help? Out there they meet with bugs and bacteria too right?
1:16 LOL
please do get him an outside, safe enclosure.
Working on it, as soon as I get this hot tub out of here he's getting a 6x6 enclosure in the corner of my porch. For now, I gotta risk it for the vitamin D biscuit
What local is this
Red body blue bar Ambilobe. Bred 14 generations for the blues though. I'd say it worked lol
Pasaeon 7 años y sigue vivo el camaleon jaja
How much is a chameleon
$30-$850. Not including enclosure which is $200+.
This one was $650 and I spent about $1200 on the setup
First!!
Dang you even commented before I could lool

😂
Why he can’t walk around on the ground? It’s dangerous?
chams are very vulnerable on the ground. In the wild, they almost never go to ground unless they are fighting / mating.
