I'm not gonna lie, I really don't like this song as a mcfly song. All their older stuff was better I think. But then again, we've only heard 2 songs off of this upcoming album
Yeah, I'm in the same headspace. I find it too simple, especially because of the chorus. I did like 'Growing Up' much better although it's not a style I really connect to at the moment. I thought they would expand upon the style shown in some of the 'Lost Songs' like 'Hyperion', 'We Were Only Kids', 'Red', 'Dare You to Move' or 'Josephine'. The new songs feel like a huge step back, but, as you say, we haven't heard the whole album yet. I'm still intrigued, though.
With so many people being stuck at home, this gives people something to smile about and forget all about the nasty things that are happening outside their door. Just enjoy the moment and be positive.
