I'm of Korean and Irish descent. I grew up with my dad, extremely poor, and sometimes homeless and hungry. My dad worked all the time and often was at work while I chose the wrong crowd to hang out with. By the time I was an adult, MY choices led me into addiction (opiates) and eventually to prison.
After I got out of prison, I was broke, homeless, and with no one to turn to. I knew that I could either blame others and feel sorry for myself OR I can take responsibility and do something to fix MY problems. It took more effort and time because of my past choices, but I recovered and overcame my personal hurdles in life.
Today I'm married, 3 beautiful daughters, a nice home, career, and part of my community. It wasn't the "white privilege" from my dad's side, nor the Asian prosperity from my mom's side. It was a dream, plan, and dedication that pulled me out of my own problems.
How dare that guy insinuate that my success and failures can be limited to my skin color. Charlie is a voice of reason in a ocean of fools. He has every right to speak and his "whiteness" is only something that the petulant children use to argue his reasoning. His success, my success, and everyone else's success will come down to the willpower we each have.
We all need a focus in life and a way to give back to those around us. We are all responsible for our own lives. I'll not blame others for my actions, good or bad, and knowing that makes all the difference.
Excuses are like buttholes, we all have them and they stink. Don't be a stinky butthole.

Great story bro. I have a similar one. I'm African and Irish and grew up very poor. I turned to crime, committed multiple murders, arsons, bank robberies, and violent assaults on innocent people. I went to prison for thirty years. I found god and turned my life around. When I got out, I became a pastor and set up a charity for homeless people. I renounced my evil ways, worked hard, and now am loved and adored by my community, with a great life, a lovely home, great friends, and a real meaning to my existence. I love my life. But I never for one moment blamed my upbringing or blamed others for my crimes. I took responsibility for them, apologised to people I hurt and even went round to the families of the people I killed and said sorry. That's the kind of guy I am. They were gracious enough to accept my apology. So I believe in.personal responsibility and making the most out of life 😊❤

I was a science and math teacher for over 20 years. I was a biochemist prior to this working in clinical trials in Big pharma. I was fired when I refused the jab claiming they didn't have enough data for me to feel safe. It's total BS to claim much about our education system that's completely broken and turned into a department of indoctrination. Conservative teachers like myself have been purged. We were constantly sent to diversity classes. The counselors told me that I was not allowed to talk about physiological differences in the brain between men and women because that was biased. Our education system needs to be majorly reworked. I graduated high school in Germany and I was required to past calculus and take philosophy for critical thinking. The education system is doing its best to remove any vestige of this critical thinking from the curriculum. The system is run by a company called EAS, education assessment systems, that lobbies to require more and more tests that are expensive and redirect the curriculum towards those tests. It is insidious and it directs what we teach in our schools. In my opinion, we've dumbed down our education to the point where you're now just getting participation awards rather than a real high school diploma. I now teach privately for parents that are homeschooling and they are very appreciative of instilling critical thinking skills in their children. They understand the value of it and encourage it. In the writings of Plato it is said that the only function of a bureaucracy is to grow as that is the only visible outcome over time. The extension of this is that government left unchecked will inevitably go down the path of tyranny, growing like a cancer on the society.

As an first generation Asian America 7 out of 9 of my siblings and I graduated from college, we have 1 doctor and 3 of us making 6 figures and more who grew up in a town with 80-90% white. They get every snow day off. They get Thanksgiving week off. They get Christmas - New Years off. They get a week for Spring Break off.

It’s, maybe, an unlearned neural linguistic programming technique. Being used…poorly. By inserting the word “right” after each point made, the listener’s brain begins to search for a pattern to determine whether or not what was said is _actually_ correct. Before a satisfactory conclusion can be arrived at, the speaker makes a separate point, and asks “right” again. The listeners brain AGAIN tries to fact check, but is interrupted a third, fourth, or fifth time.
Those that are actively using guile to manipulate the listener will usually begin slow. Allowing the listener to arrive at their own conclusions a time or two after being asked “right?” Establishing a foundation for a pattern of trust. “They really _were_ right before…”
I digress…
The thing is, our brain is running more than pattern recognition software. It’s memory scrubbing (as in searching through), it’s comparing and contrasting every new moment with every pertinent past moment, and all of it is happening all at once.
The listeners’ brain makes a couple of snap decisions based on all the data it has at hand, simplifying and reducing what’s being said, and asked of it to a single question IT can make a satisfying, educated guess about: Do I trust this guy?
Then, back to basic programming. What’s my relationship to the speaker? How are their clothes, hair, and hygiene? Are they charming? Do “I” find them physically attractive (if not appealing)? Are their voice, and cadence pleasing to listen to?
The amalgamated answer to those, and dozens upon dozens more questions like them determine your predisposition towards taking the speaker at their word.
Parents, and educators use this technique when appealing to the sensibilities of children while trying to teach them, this or that. Salesmen use it. Pastors echo the sentiment substituting “right” for “amen?” After all, who would _you_ be more likely to learn, tithe to, or buy from? Some rando, or a person you trust?
It isn’t intrinsically negative, but it can certainly be used by unscrupulous douche canoes to manipulate the listener into subconsciously letting the speaker bypass their more critical cognitive faculties.

You can even shoot one of them a couple g's for showing up to court for you. Basically if you talk to a lawyer, which is free. you call a labor rights lawyer, have a conversation, you'll have to put in zero of your own money. And he will tell you if there is a case. If there us a case, he will take it and you will win. Lawyers don't take cases like that, that they know they can't win.

If there is emails or paperwork on the books or hiring quotas, anything like that, if a lawsuit is filed they can subpoena for all that info. And if they destroy the info they are tampering with an investigation which is a criminal charge. It's easier for them to just pay you your years salary which is usually how these cases go.

The teacher union in Wisconsin was mandatory for a long time. If you taught at a school your paycheck was automatically deducted your union dues.
I knew of a teacher that sucker punched a student and because of the union he was moved to a different district with a pay rise and 3 years later came back to the school where he sucker punched a student.
The teacher union stories I know only get worse.

The job of an educator is to educate! I worked as a SPED Math teacher in the 90's. I left after 5 years & returned in 2012 . I recently took a hiatus for health issues. I taught Math to all grades, K-12 & tutored a few college students. The goal in the 90's was education for all. The goal in public schools, currently, is marxist indoctrination.
