    Maurice was just saying why didn't Miami use the fame of the former players to help the university, like Deion is doing for Colorado. This is all he was saying. He was really complementing them, but sometimes people are just listening to react instead of understanding what is being said.

    It was stupid to make a statement like that. He doesn't know the type of relationship they have with Miami University. Sapp is going to coach for the person who is truly loyal, loves, and supports him for him. Miami does not. Miami only appreciates Sapp for what he has done athletically. Sapp is old and smart enough to know he would rather work with someone who is loyal and love him versus a place that just appreciates him and only wants to show that appreciation when it benefits them.

    The last I checked, the University of Miami has working phones. They could easily have done the same thing Coach Prime did; however, for whatever reason they did not. Therefore, the narrative must remain as it is, Sapp and Reed to Colorado with Deion. (However, the situation is). Coach Prime is an out-of-the-box thinker and this is not to castigate what Clarett said, this is only to highlight the obvious in response to what he said. If their program meant that much they could have proceeded to go after all three, but did not.

    My understanding is Miami isn't all that good to some of its athletic alumni I mean no tickets, no invites, no recognition. If you google you will find what I'm talking about. Think about it Did Miami reach out to Sapp or Reed? Did they decline? You can on ly marry her if she says I do.

    Warren Sapp went to Miami, but he feels he doesn't he owes Miami anything, nor do they owe him anything outside of his playing for and fulfilling his scholarship!! The samething for Ed Reed he doesn't go off of speculation those guys wants to pour knowledge into those kid's not help a team just because they played for and fulfilled their scholarship obligations with!!

      He does have a point and he knows how the business of college football works before and after NIL. Mr.Clarett is speaking of loyalty and using your glorious past to enrich and feed your future. AKA INVEST BACK INTO YOUR BUSINESS. Colorado won’t appreciate Coach Samders if they don’t win and start going to bowl games and compete for national championships.

    Welp, No one has, at least not that I've witnessed or heard of, loved on their players like CP... white or black?! This is what everyone is attracted to, especially professional athletes. They can only imagine what it could've been had someone not only cared about them as young men but poured into them knowledge and wisdom to increase their success rate in life be it a continuation to football's next level or not! The doing it unapologetically = icing on top! I expect to hear a lot more from Sapp as he's not going to allow anyone to deter from the love fest happening in Boulder, not even a lil bit! Bottom line to the guys understandable question is obvious... CU gave CP the reigns, none of these other schools were going to relinquish that kind of power for him to operate at optimal levels of effectiveness nor efficiency through love and service. It is a business, a business that he's proving can flourish with deserved respect and love for these young men!

  • @merrickjackson1623

    I understand Clarrett. And he has a point. Clarett isn't trying to be a coach, thats the difference. But just because you come from a particular university doesn't mean that you automatically get to coach there. Especially when others have earned those opportunities. It wouldn't be right, to tell young men to earn what they get while you would be the living embodiment of usinig your privledge and position to get what you want.

    It’s up to those players where they want to Coach. Would they have been welcomed and have the same voice they have in Colorado with Coach Prime? I would rather go with Coach Prime. He’s the difference maker not anyone at Miami. Deion Sanders is a huge brand like it or not. Coach Sapp made the correct decision.

  • @jasonv2323
    @jasonv2323 9 месяцев назад

    I agree with one part of what Clarett said I as a fan enjoy seeing people coach at their Alma Maters however that’s not the way coaching and jobs work! If he’s given a chance to coach with Prime the most talked about College football program which in the Nation which is on the rise! despite the bad record! And with no evidence proving he was ever offered any legit type of coaching position at Miami! Why would you speak on something you don’t know? And also coaching at that level is a career and a business decision! Who would turn down the opportunity to be a part of something great like coaching with Prime? That’s the part Clarett is missing!

    I get what Clarett is saying and I can agree. But like Coach Prime always says it's about "relationships". CU is the hot thing now and since Coash Prime and Sapp have a "relationship", it makes since for him to go there. But since Sapp is given this chance at CU and will gain alot of experience (which he dont have at this level) then maybe in the future he can go to FAMU and be a coach 🤷‍♀ IF he's even wanted there.

    The issue is that Mo Clarrett has nothing to do with any of the programs, so he should have kept his mth shut. My issue is instead of celebrating the victory of graduating and being hired by Colorado for Warren Sapp, he added the unnecessary comment, which negates anything positive that he said. For Sapp to get hired with is past is a great thing because it is another redemption story
